What is your dream trade for draft night?

Post#1 » by Crossova21 » Thu Jun 25, 2009 1:59 am

Just saw this on pacers.com (of course it was posted by a fan). I don't know I kinda like it.

Suns Get:
T.J. Ford
Troy Murphy
2010 1st Round Pick

Pacers Get:
Amare Stoudemire
Alando Tucker
2009 1st Round Pick
(Money also works)

Pacers go and select Brandon Jennings and Earl Clark.

Starters:

PG- Brandon Jennings
SG- Brandon Rush
SF- Danny Granger
PF- Amare Stoudemire
C- Roy Hibbert

But a line up for a little fun:

PG- Brandon Jennings
SG- Brandon Rush
SF- Danny Granger
PF- Earl Clark
C- Amare Stoudemire

That would be plain scary for other teams. Long athletic players from 2 to 5 that can run you down on offense and contest every shot you take on D. Plus a PG who is a speed demon, straight up thief, and offensive stud.

Amare makes my eyes light up. U can't tell me we wouldn't be at the top of the East next year. Get rid of Murph's contract and free up space for Jennings. Only thing I would be concerned about is trading next years pick in a strong draft. But with this team I don't think we're a lottery team again.

My dream isn't even a trade, just Jrue Holiday dropping to #13 and i'll be just fine with anything.

Tinsley for the #1 pick ... or do our dreams have to be realistic?

I was going to start this thread...

My dream scenario...

TJ Ford & Brian Cook to Minnesota

Tinsley, Mark Madsen, Bobby Brown, Chris Quinn, & 18 to Houston

Diener to Miami

Carl Landry, Brent Barry, Brian Cardinal, & 43 to Indiana

13 to Chicago for 16 & 26

16 - Ty Lawson

26 - DeMarre Carroll

43 - Ahmad Nivins

52 - Lester Hudson

Re-sign Jack & McRoberts

Decline option on Daniels

PG: Lawson, Jack, Hudson
SG: Rush, Dunleavy, Barry
SF: Granger, Carroll
PF: Murphy, Landry, McRoberts, Nivins, Cardinal
C: Hibbert, Foster

I would do Carl Landry straight up for the 13th pick.

Wow.

That's the worst, most unfair, biased trade offer I've ever seen. Phoenix would likely shoot you in the face, with good reason, if you dared offer that to their face.

LOL my favorite part is when he got greedy and had them giving us their 14th pick in the process.... haha

Man, you guys dream really small. Why not trade Tinsley for Brandon Roy, Rudy Fernandez, Nicolas Batum, and a 1st or so while we're at it?

Or better yet, Tinsley & Troy Murphy for Peyton Manning and a 6th round pick. Then we can fill out the rest of our roster with a goalie and a shortstop, to round out our team. Tiger Woods needs to sign with a team, and it better be the Pacers. There's no one on the planet who get the ball into the cup better than him.

Pssshhh, FJ20 is stupid. I would say getting Amare. We gotta resign Jack, though. Jennings would be back-up. Then maybe trade Jennings for Maynor and Hansbrough. I actually want to see what Hansbrough can do in the NBA.

Well if you want a realistic draft night dream trade how about TJ to Dallas for Stackhouse, JJ Berea and the #24 pick, and or the #13 to Chicago for #16 and #26, or Jamaal Tinsley to anyone for anything.

Or how about this one with the story on Ming looking like he's gonna be out longer than expected, lets offer Jamaal, Daniels, and Foster to Rockets for McGrady and Aaron Brooks. 8-)
