Detroit Pistons fan here!

Post#1 » by pistons_own » Wed Jun 24, 2009 3:11 am

Now that you guys have aqquired Richard Jefferson in a great trade dealing Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto are you guys back in business.

Will you guys most likely keep what you have now , get someone in Free Agency or pull off another trade?

Thankyou for the feedback.

We're way too thin in the frontcourt now to stand pat. I'm anticipating either one more trade or using the MLE on a big man. As it stands right now, Duncan + Bonner does not a frontcourt make.

I don't think we still have chips to make a trade for a big. I was actually hoping Amir Johnson was traded to the Spurs along with Jefferson. haha..

We just have Duncan as a bigman.... Ian has shown nothing, and Bonner is a tall guy who shoots.

We need to get some rebounding just bulk.

Get Rasho here, get Sheed, we need to sign Chewbacca.

How unrealistic is it that you guys pry Splitter from Europe?

Any interest in Jason Maxiell as well? He'd fit well, but just signed that 4 year 20 million dollar extension that starts this year.

Well, at least we aren't Cleveland... seriously... Indians, Cavs, Browns... ouch.

Splitter is a pipe dream for this offseason. He'll probably come over for the 2010-2011 season.

Maxiell is nice, but not at that pricetag.

Besides, with the Blair pick, no need for him.

Great pick. For some reason, somebody always slips to you guys... Parker, Manu, Splitter, Scola, and Hill to a lesser extent.

As always, a great draft.

currently spurs have 6 roster spots vacant...all up for grabs

if the spurs can get splitter over, then dont expect the spurs to break the bank and sign a big, probably ry get someone on the cheap. if not come over then spurs go MLE shopping.

i like what we have currently expecially the young players on this spurs/torros team.
hill
gist
splitter
mahinmi
blair
mcclinton
hairston
williams

im expecting 1 more move for a big likely...and the spurs are done for the summer

It is more realistic to sign 7'3 Cheewbacca than Splitter this coming season.

Another pipe dream but supposedly Sheed was spotted in SA last night. Could just be visiting his good friend Tim.

Being a star wars nerd, i would like to point out that the actor who played chewbacca has next to zero sporting ability it would be better if we put a rotten 7'3 tree trunk on wheels and stuck a uniform on it.

However if we are going to more joking route and we pretend star wars is real Chewie would equal GOAT!
