What will you give the Thunder in return for getting that pick back? Negotiations will begin with Amare....

Not so fast T-Poke... swap out Big Ben for Camby/Chandler etc and add him to Nash/Stat/ Barbo/Hill/JRich etc etc and Phnx is in back in the playoffs. There is still plent of talent left here. In fact, throw open the throttle and you guys might be looking at #20 from us.

(am I saying this ????)

Better rethink your thunking and hope we end up with Wallace

Everything depends on a healthy Amare. Assuming no more trades, our current line up, even without Tyson Chandler, makes the playoffs. Now, we lose in the first round, of course.

The only hope for OKC on next year's trade is that we trade Amare or Nash or both today. OKC's GM is the type of GM we Suns fans wish we had! No way he would have completed the Shaq trade without getting Cleveland's first round pick. Our GM/Owner blinked and pulled off a lousy deal, regardless of any other trades we make. Cleveland would not have traded for Tyson Chandler and added salary for the 2010 free agent run. The Shaq deal was their only deal in order to make it to the finals. So sad!

Look, you guys won't make the playoffs because the Thunder are going to beat you out for the 8th spot. I agree it probably won't be a top 3 pick, but, at the end of the day, you are going to be left with a roster without any real upside and NO picks for next year.

Thunder have the leverage here....

Do you think your team has any legitimate upside? Bad decisions have rendered your roster in need of a fundamental restructuring that has to begin with trading away your big contracts, and, more particularly Amare who isn't going to re-sign with you anyway.

We'd offer:

Watson, D.J. White, Chuky Atkins, Damien Wilkins (all of these players are expirings), the 25th pick, your 2010 first rounder, and our 2011 first rounder

In return for:

Amare and the 14th pick

You aren't going to get a better deal, and this is the only way to get your pick back....

you think Amare's going to re-sign in OKC? man get out of here with that garbage offer

Suns can do much better than that IF they trade Amare
