Harris to Wolves?

Post#1 » by PeeDee » Thu Jun 25, 2009 6:33 pm

DX is reporting:

-A complicated three-way trade involving New Jersey, Minnesota and Memphis, which would send Devin Harris to Minnesota, the #5 and #6 picks to Memphis and Ricky Rubio and Craig Smith to New Jersey.

Wonder what the details would be? Seems a little high to include both with only Harris coming back. Then again Harris is a very good PG.

Can't be true....WAY too much to give up for Harris. Kahn seems pretty firm in not giving up 5 and 6 for Rubio, I doubt he would do it for Harris, not to mention throwing Smith in on top.

Unless we get NJ's pick (11 I think) and grab Terrance Williams? That might be acceptable...

There would have to be other stuff involved. Salaries are all wonky.

Value doesn't seem right to me. NJ trades Harris for Rubio (and Smith). MN declines 5+6 for Rubio but signs off on 5+6+Smith for Harris? If there is any truth to this (big if) there's got to be somone or something else coming back.

That is too much for just Harris. We'd be left with gaping holes everywhere, as much as I like Harris.

I wouldn't want to give up 5 & 6 especially if we can land Harden. That seems too steep of a price to pay.

So what do you guys think Harris is worth?

Harris and Harden.

Harris would not make the Wolves better, btw.

The funny thing I was going to comment on how slow it had become.

I'd easily trade 5 OR 6 plus 18, plus Corey Brewer, plus Pekovic, plus Smith plus filler for Harris.

Harris and Tyreke!

the only way i do it is if we swap Love for Lopez, this wolves will have trio of Harris-Jefferson-Lopez to go forward, draft some shooters at #18 and #28, next offseason we can add a good wing player with capspace.

Harris is better than anyone we would get at 5 and 6. The excitement has people way overrating this draft. This sounds very unlikely though. Just my opinion.

I say trade the 6+18+Smith for Harris. Should be enough. Harden would be awesome at 5, otherwise Thabeet or I don't even know. Could Evans play with him? Possibly. Curry would make for a small backcourt.

I just hope we don't give up both picks without getting something huge back. That's too expensive.

5 AND 6 seems like kind of a lot.

But I really like Devin Harris.

I'm torn lol.

Harris is overrated and Thorn has a history of recognizing overrated PG's and shipping them out. Steph-ON MAR-bury.

You've pointed out the fact of the day ...

Why would you value your PG equal to #5 & 6, then trade for another PG. That's deeply concerning and we would be absolute FOOLS to do a trade like this.

This trade would make Kahn a Con !!!

I don't want to give up 5 and 6. Harris is the man though, kid is awesome. Still 5 and 6 is too much IMO. If we could work the 6 and then some package that doesn't include Love or Big Al, I'd be down.

I love Harris; I have him on my 2k9 association roster, but that's just where I like him on my team: in a game, not on the real wolves.
