I'd go for this, too, especially with the pick in play.
Either way, there's enough smoke that I'm convinced there's fire surrounding Kirk. He's clearly in play tonight.

Well if Draftnet is right, and Harden looks to be slipping to the 8th spot, I'd try and trade up with Minny first. That Milwaukee deal ain't bad though.

We would have a lot of ammo in this draft. I still value Gordon more than any player we would get from pick 10 onward. Only guy who might mitigate losing Gordon IMO is Harden.
If we get #10, I would strive hard to move Jerome James to a team such as Memphis. It depends on how much Uncle Jerry wants to spend. Jerome James counts toward $6 million on the cap but is getting paid $3 million. If we ship him along with cash (up to $3 million) and #26, it wouldn't really cost Memphis much to take him. It'd clear $6 milion off our tax threshold and we'd use that toward resigning Gordon.
Thats if the Bulls want to spend money.

What kind of deal will this allow Bulls to sign Gordon to?

I would take this without hesitation, well with some reservation. But the 10th pick we could draft Blair, Hansbrough at 16 and some euro at 26. Sounds like a productive day to me.

@ 10, I'd look to grab Jordan Hill there or move up to grab him. Unless we are enamored by another guard.

Re: Bulls have offer from Bucks(via Thessaloniki)
it seems too good to be true. Luke is a nice back up PG and Elson would be a nice big to have on the bench
the 10th pick would be huge. We can land Derozan, Williams or Henderson and still have the 16th for TH, Blair and the 26th for a overseas guy
It would be us in major 2010 mode

Potential for some interesting times next year.
Going to Detroit to watch BG light us up.
Going into Milwaukee and watching Kirk shut down Salmons.

14 years is a nice run but it's time to end the Paxson era.

I like it, if Kirk indeed is going.
Not a huge Ridnour fan, seems like he would be a quite able backup though.
#10 pick? Well probably not as good as Outlaw, but it's draft day and I have draft fever. What are you gonna do?
We would have 10 and 16 (looks like #26 is going away as Duck predicted).

Is it only me or does this seem too good to be true? So good its unrealistic. I am a huge Hinrich fan but unless Skiles owes kirk a leg, doesnt this seem to be an overpayment for kirk?

How high could we get with the 10, 16 and 26?

If true, it's an absolute no-brainer. I sense I may have to change my Realgm name tomorrow. (here's hoping!)

Re: Bulls have offer from Bucks(via Thessaloniki)
Just stop it with the 3 picks in this draft... BAD IDEA... the last thing we need is to get younger in a god awful draft like this. Take those 3 picks and try to snag one of minny's picks or something or use them in another trade but for the love of god do not take 3 players from this year's draft unless its #'s 1-3!

Re: Bulls have offer from Bucks(via Thessaloniki)
So many thoughts are going through my head on this.
Can they package all 3 picks to get into the Top 5?
Can they package the picks with Tyrus and other pieces for Bosh or Amare? That's a pretty large package of talent to start a rebuilding process.

In my opinion, we just aren't going into next season with 2 rookies. I think it's one rookie, and the other spots will be filled with veterans.
Quite frankly, if what you said above happens, I honestly wouldn't be upset by trading both picks to a team like the Thunder and the Wolves for their picks next year, then keep our 10.
Why so serious?

I like it. We can get a good player at 10. I think one of Hill or DeRozan will be on the board. I'm not in love with Henderson or Williams for us but if we do a deal like this it will be a major roster overhaul approaching.
Chaos isn't a pit. Chaos is a ladder.
