Your Ideal Draft Outcome
Post what you'd like to see happen for Jazz at tonight's draft. This is what you'd like to see happen, and what could realistically happen, not necessarily what you think will happen.
Mine:
Jazz draft Hansbrough at 20
Lakers draft Calathes at 29 and trade pick to Jazz for some combination of future picks
Jazz pick Jodie Meeks at 50
I think it's unlikely Hansbrough is on the board at 20. My second choice there would be Teague. Unfortunately it's very likely neither is there.

Re: Your Ideal Draft Outcome
20: James Johnson, Omri or Jeff Teague--dream scenario Terrence Williams or DeJuan Blair
50: I would love it if Jermaine Taylor drops, otherwise Dante Cunningham, Luke Neville or Jodie Meeks.
I would also love it if we picked up the 14 or 18 so we could get one of Johnson, Williams and Blair--then draft Teague or Casspi at 20.

Hansbourgh and Chase Budinger in 1st and 2nd round. They fit into the system and Jazz make up as whitest team in the league.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

We're a white PG away from the Whitewash! Where's Raul Lopez/John Crotty when you need him!

Simple... long term decent back up point or big. Any more would be a pipe dream.

Why stop there? Let's trade Fesenko to the Clippers for the #1 pick.

Very Happy: James Johnson
Happy: Hansbrough, Teague, Maynor, Blair, Holiday.
Satisfied: Lawson, Young, Budinger, Casspi.
I know it will be one of those guys unless someone really slips, should be a fun night. I am really excited to watch it all. Love draft night.

Anything that doesn't sent Amare to Houston. Seriously why aren't the Jazz brass floating ideas for this guy.
I would also like to see the Jazz get Hansborough or Teague.

Re: Your Ideal Draft Outcome
If I could dream a bit...
I'd trade the pick for a 2010 1st from a bubble playoff team. Like a Dallas or New Orleans. I like next year's draft better and there is a slim shot that pick would end up in the lotto.
If I can't dream...
I like Sam Young then Tyler Hansborough. Both seem like good Jazz players. Unfortunately, both seem like backup guys with no upside. But, in this draft, if I can get a guy who can be an 8-9th man @ #20 I live with that. Nothing wrong with strengthening the bench.

"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Re: Your Ideal Draft Outcome
Realistic Ideal: Hansbrough or Teague. Its 6's between those two in my opinion. Hansbrough is the toughness the Jazz sorely lack and will give it every second i.e. Millsap, and could spell Millsap for 15 a game assuming Boozer walks. Really he is exactly what the Jazz need at this point. Teague has been compared to a watered down version of Iverson with his quick first step and ability to get to the rim anytime he wants. More of a combo then a true point but he could fill two needs with one guy; backup for the 10 mins D-Will sits and then the scorer we lack at the 2.
Ok With: Young, Douglas, or Maynor. Young is the tough, defensive-minded Harpring replacement for when he retires next year. Douglas is that same thing at guard. Ive heard scouts say he is one of the best defenders in the draft and a more than adequate scorer; and he can play the 1 and 2 as more of a combo. Maynor is the best pure point still available at this point and a great backup to Willy; i secretly feel this is who the Jazz brass want after Hansbrough.
Super Upset: Casspi, Budinger, Blair, or Johnson. The scout the other day on the radio said Johnson only played hard for 12 of the 40 minutes in college. Sure he has talent, but i doubt anyone will ever get it out of him. The other 3 here just don't do anything for me. If you want Millsap so bad then Blair is near clone without the jumper; Budinger is super athletic but he seemed to get worse with each year at UofA, and Casspi we may not see for a couple years.

Re: Your Ideal Draft Outcome
The jazz draft James Johnson at 20 . Harpring could retire and Johnson would be good replacement.Budinger would also be a good pick.
The jazz trade for early second rounder with future 2 plus cash. 2a Toney Douglas pg , Douuglas one of the top defensive guards and also brings alot of offence off the bench. Good in the pick and roll and also could play some 2 guard . The Jazz could play both Williams and Douglas at the same time .
2b Wesley Mathews, good shooter but really good at getting to free throw line. Real high point per shoot for a 2 guard plus is a good rebounder.
This draft is in hope of both Boozer and Milsap still being on the jazz next year .

ideal outcome is Ty Lawson somehow falls, realistically I think Hansborough is the safe pick.

At 20 you just want someone who can be productive for you for 4 or 5 years. Anything more is gravy.

Sure, so who is that guy? Who do you want the Jazz to end up with?

Re: Your Ideal Draft Outcome
My idea outcome is Hansbourgh at 20th and Paul Harris at 50.
We get stronger and tougher. Harris has crazy potential as a defender but nobody saw it cuz he was stuck in the 2-3 zone at Syracuse.
