Best pg/sg draft combination?

Post#1 » by klemen4 » Thu Jun 25, 2009 4:29 pm

As it stands now Thabeet will go 2.nd and Rubio probably 3.th.

Based on Sacramento pick Minnesota will chose from:
- Harden
- Curry
- Evans
- Flynn

Sacramento pick will be either Flynn or Evans.

I watched a lot of clips and I think the best pg/sg duo would be:

1- Evans/Curry
2- Flynn/Evans
3- Flynn/Harden
----------------------
4- Evans/Harden
5- Flynn/Curry

I think every option of first 3 would be great, I dont like the 4th option because in a way they are similar players and also Evans being 1/2. I think 5th option is out of the question because of the height and defensive match ups.

God luck Minny fans!

I'm not so sure OKC would pick Rubio 3th.

In fact, I bet Harden goes 3th and Rubio goes 4rd.

Rubio-Harden is the best combo, but in your scenario, I'd say Evans-Harden or Evans-Curry are the best two choices.

Although I'd actually rather have Holiday/Harden as my combo after my first choice of Rubio/Harden.

agree.

Although, aside from my Evans + Harden "dream team". I'me saying you sir should jump on the...

#5 Evans or Harden
#6 Curry to nyk, for clark @8 + value(mobley for thomas swap?)
#18 Jennings (lots of value with jennings at 18 even if you hate him)
#28 facial footprint

Jennings
Evans/Brewer
Clark/footprint
Love/Clark
Al

Jennings can create for himself and others and run transition with Evans, Clark, Brewer. Clark can play with both al and love @ the 3 or play with either of them @ the 4. Footprint can spot up. Evans can create for himself at will. BOOM-SHACK-A-LACKA

Use mobley contract at some point during the season. Hell it could probably be used to clear off songalia 2010 money.

I like this at the moment. But I'll probably change my mind.

You know PD,

I've been saying that all along too, but after spending a bunch of time last night researching OKC's situation on other boards and talking to people, I now see why plenty of Thunder fans believe Presti will in fact draft Rubio. Apparently, some Thunder fans are not convinced Westbrook is enough of a true PG to run their team and would be effective playing off the ball more while letting Ricky run the show. Plus they are also convinced that Presti believes Rubio has a higher ceiling than Harden and that he will not hesitate to take the better player.

Our interior defense is average/weak and so I feel a need to improve as a team.

Evans/Holiday

Flynn and Jennings are the ones that may suprise all.
Curry wants NY ... I don't want him as an option.
Harden makes me nervouse after hearing concern about his NBA speed... not sure.

Kind of my thoughts, except I'd like it to be Curry plus any SG.

The cruel part of me kind of wants them to draft Jennings and Curry just to see how many expletives J2J can get in on here before his head explodes.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''
