Wake Up KOC!!!
Trades everywhere, but not a single Jazz rumor. KOC doing anything? KOC satisfied with Jazz team and results last year. Cant the Jazz get Boozer, Memo, and/or Korver to opt out early so Jazz know where they stand? Wake up KOC because same old Jazz conservative BS not going to work anymore!
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Re: Wake Up KOC!!!
I'm sure part of it is the Jazz can't really act until after June 30 when Boozer, Korver and Okur have officially made their decisions.

Re: Wake Up KOC!!!
Ehh, I'm not totally disagreeing with you, but by the same token - do we really know that he's not trying to get something done? I mean, we all have criticized the Jazz in the past for not making moves, but is the reason for this ALWAYS that they're standing pat, or is it also because other teams just aren't biting on what we're offering. Just as it takes two to tango, it takes two (or more) to complete a trade of any kind. I mean, if it were so easy to complete trades, the Knicks could've gotten themselves out of their mess years ago. Just playing devil's advocate.
Brevity is the soul of wit.

You need to stop posting about something you obviously have no clue about. It's pretty annoying.

Re: Wake Up KOC!!!
I'm sure your post was just venting frustration that others are making deals (at least I hope) but the technical answer to your question is:
No, KOC can't make Boozer, Okur, and Korver exercise or decline their options. They have until June 30th to make a decision and frankly it doesn't work to their advantage to decide early.
The only CURRENTLY tradable assets on the Jazz roster include:
- Andrei Kirilenko (not attractive due to 2 years $34mill left and mediocre performance)
- Matt Harpring ($6.5mill expiring might be attractive but to a team looking to dump a bad contract--something still could happen here in the right circumstance)
- Deron Williams (Nobody is complaining that there AREN'T trade rumors about him)
- CJ Miles (Nobody is really interested right now and 2 years left)
- Ronnie Brewer (small contract--the big contracts need to shake out first)
- Kosta Koufos and Kyrylo Fesenko (ditto to notes on Brewer)
Utah will NOT be a player in any significant trades until Boozer, Okur, and Korver decide their fate. And it has nothing to do with KOC's nap schedule.

+ the NY pick, but AK being an expiring next year + the NY pick is worth way more.

Re: Wake Up KOC!!!
Every team is always looking to improve, and I think that the Jazz are just trying to see what they think they'll have before they do anything drastic.

I cannot say how badly it scares me to think that there are people like you running around out there.
