Draft night thread

Let me start by saying that Stuart Scott wore out for me a long time ago and why are Clippers letting their clock run?

Moderate surprise with James Harden going to OKC. Sacramento is a bit of question considering that they acquired Sergio Rodriguez to move down a bit in the 2nd. Does it mean they pass on Rubio?

Good call. I'll definitely be checking up on this.

What do you guys think of the Harden pick? I like it. Westbrook/Harden/Durant/Green/???? could be a hell of a lineup down the road.

I think Harden is a perfect fit there. I didn't see how Rubio fit with Westbrook, would've been a really small back court.

Also good for us, it's just one more spot a good point guard slides in the draft.

I really like the Harden pick. The guy I'm not sold on in that lineup is Green, but PF is one of the easier spots to fill in a lineup.

^^^ I like Green a lot. A do-it-all forward that can step outside and shoot the trey. But they will need to find a solid big man to put alongside of him.

I can't wait to see how they mesh together over the next few years.

Rubio falling down the board here. Wolves have a real opportunity here with two consecutive picks and Rubio on the board.

With Evans going 5, it seems that Minnesota has Rubio fall into their lap unless of course they prefer Flynn. The problem is that both big guards in this range are gone so they aren't quite getting the full back court makeover they planned on.

I like the bargain they have in Krstic at C, but if you mean a bruiser by "solid" I agree. With Krstic and Green I don't think they defensively hold down the paint.

So Minnesota deals Foye for Rubio. Nice.

Wish I had kept it open, but prior to the first pick HoopsWorld had an article that said the first 7 were set in stone. Well they got the first 2 right, but it derailed from there.

DraftExpress's final mock on the other hand is 5 for 5. (They have us taking Eric Maynor).

Would he have fallen to #6? Who do they draft there now?

I like that thought, but WTF? Jonny Flynn. Hoarding PGs or was that pick for someone else?

That is a stupid pick if you aren't making a deal. How can you draft two point guards like that?

I'm wondering if they follow it up with Eric Maynor at 18 and Darren Collison at 28. David Kahn = the anti Billy Knight?
