I know his agent didnt want him going there. So what, Arena's may already be done, what the hell do we know, why the hell not take a flyer on the next potential Pistol Pete. Maybe he's a bust but this team aint winning jack, as constructed. It's a non-entity in the playoffs, and it will continue to be. They needed to tear this crap up, and rebuild it as best as they could, they had some pieces, and they could have added potentially the next pistol pete/Jason kidd (if he lives up to and maximizes the potential). Instead we added some mediocre guards. Hurrah for a team going nowhere. Maybe things will change with Leonsis.
Consiglieri, you consistently know just the hell what you're talking about.
What really bites is this is the reward for going belly up, finishing with 19 wins. NO draft pick and mediocre vets, while constrained by major cap concerns.
I said tear it up when Gil was hurt. Don't resign him orJamison. But that's just too radical an idea ...
I don't see a lot changing with Leonisis as long as EG is the GM and you've got an offensive-minded coach IN LIGHT OF THEM NOT ADDING ANY THING UP FRONT OR DEFENSIVELY. Foye's not a PG.
This team's stuck with what it has.
