Rumor on Yahoo sports has Ricky Rubio being traded from Minny to NY Knicks...

uh oh
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Javale was a sub for a 19-win team.

You swap McGee for Chalmers? I sure as hell wouldn't.

On talent my swap is horrible. Javale's a freak.

On win score check last seasons rookies and see where Chalmers ended up. Recall him winning an NCAA title over Rose's Memphis team. See who helped a Miami team that was absolute crap the season before make the playoffs. Aside from healthy Wade, what else did that team add?

If the Wizards had Chalmers last season there'd be no Mike James. There'd have been a PG that pressured the ball defensively, who could hit an open three, and who'd have fed the ball to Jamison and Butler better.

Chemistry-wise Chalmers would have been a better pick and the Wizards would have won more games than they did having selected Javale McGee.

I expect to get flamed from the same people who never think I'm right.

Yea, so they pick Chalmers and they'd have had the 7th ot 8th pick is what you're saying. I like Chalmers and he was certainly more productive this year but I'll take McGee with no hesitation if I got a do over knowing what I know now. No hesitation. I think Miami would as well.

How much would it take to move up 10 spots into the first round to take Blair?

Portland has a real GM (Presti)...one of the best in the business. He knows how to build a squad that is long, athletic and talented enough to make a deep playoff run

Don't usually buy into video clips too much but that kid Casspi looks like a player.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Cramer, I have no problem with your logic, either. By far most people would take Javale.

I believe Casspi will play at least one year overseas. I like the fact that he's not a soft Euro-type and plays like Noccioni.

The New York Knicks are working hard to cut a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves to acquire guard Ricky Rubio, a Western Conference source said.

One league GM said a deal “isn’t 100 percent,” but likely.

Minny holds all of the cards now.

CCJ squirming in his chair. 7 picks until Wiz pick and Blair still on the board

Here's an interesting question...

If Blair inexplicably slips to #32, will the Wizards even take him?

I mean, what makes us so special? Why would we be any different than the copious amounts of teams that passed up on him (rightly or wrongly)?

Wrong.

From yahoo live: MInny officials are thus far resisting the advances of the Knicks and the wishes of the player's agent and insisting that Rubio will stay

We could easily not. Lots of people were all cheery when Hendrix was available for us last year, and we didn't take him. Could be the same thing.

We will take the highest ranking player on the board and trade him.

Return to Washington Wizards
