Jason Thompson + T Evans for Rondo
I have a feeling. Andre Miller or Jason Kidd to follow.
A Miller, R Allen, Pierce, KG, Perk
Bench: Evans, House, Baby, Thompson
Walker, Scal, Pruitt, Giddens

Right, which would be one of the ****tiest trades in Celtics history.
0:01.8 A. Walker makes 3-pt shot from 28 ft (assist by E. Williams) +3 109-108

He should really write trade idea next to the title.

Agreed. I began searching everywhere for this after I read it.

ddb is sourced , he has broken many a C's move. I speculated the same thing when Evans was picked.

Yep, he did call the KG trade. And sully with other c's fans speculated this as well. Which is why I got excited. But this is just pure speculation right now. It would be cool if he put that in the title. I know I got too excited, same with bove.

Re: Jason Thompson + T Evans for Rondo
Well, from the Celtics end that's probably one of the few trades you look at and go through with for Rondo. Seems VERY steep from Sacramento's end though. It would just seem that the Celtics would have to give up more for Evans, who seems like a very good prospect, and Thompson, a legit sized four who truly looks like a solid overall athlete and basketball talent. Obviously, I'd do this trade... unless, which is the big question, Ainge and Co. truly believe he can develop the consistent jumper and particularly develop his free throw shooting.
But ya, the Celtics would have to add a PG post trade unless they made a deal to bite the bullet on Udrih AND/OR Nocioni's contract as part of this trade.
Still a tough call to deal Rondo. He could end up being a really great player.

Re: Jason Thompson + T Evans for Rondo
This trade was rumored before by Chad Ford:
"Rondo To The Kings?
The Sacramento Kings say they would give Boston the 4th overall pick of this year's draft for Rajon Rondo, the Kings may be willing to part with Jason Thompson or Spencer Hawes to sweeten the deal."
This was reported around June 13th.
We shall see.

I would love that deal.

Re: Jason Thompson + T Evans for Rondo
and with Marbury ready to sign on we will have added a big, a good sized wing and replaced a fantastic all around pg (but can't shoot) with one who can still run the team competently and hit jumpers... remeber that spurt against Orlando?
Evans could team with House to play pg on offense and SG on defense too.
Still would lack a back up 4 who can hit the three (unless you count scalabrine) but then I expect more players will shake loose at the deadline

But Thompson can be that PF for us. He is a very nice young player to have. We'll still be smallish with big baby as backup center, but not horrible. The backup SF will be an issue, hopefully we can get Grant Hill for the LLE.

Re: Jason Thompson + T Evans for Rondo
Jason Thompson or Spencer Hawes are better than any big we can get with the MLE.
Rondo and Kevin Martin makes me want to cry.
Evans is possibly the stud of the draft but more of a guy who needs to find his way between the one and two than a plug in PG. Obviously with Sergio and Beno they have options but like I said earlier Rondo and Martin could easily be the best backcourt in the NBA for the next decade.
