The Organization goal is to save money and win 43-45 games. I think its doable.

I am mildly disappointed but 2.5 million has a lot of potential. IMO he is just the physical rebounder we needed.

Same complaining went on this time last season after Javale was drafted. It's in the Wiz fan's DNA.

No problems. It's not like anyone else in the East got better today.

I find euphorically amusing to see Fish as the harbinger of doom and gloom. What up Fish? You finally gonna admit how sucky EJ was now....

Unless that $2.5 million goes towards signing a veteran bigman, I will continue to be pissed.

Ernie clearly doesnt give a rat's ass about public opinion. If he did, he'd explain what the cash acquired for Walker and Taylor helped buy. If we re-sign Haywood, MM and Foye b/c of this then OK, but we're owed an explanation.

Oh God, that night was gold. I think CCJ is a little more tipsy tonight though. Dat was all but ready to burn him at the stake.

Re: Official vent your frustration with the organization thread
For nearly 30 years, I've been watching the Bullets/Wizards pick high in the draft and it's always anticlimatic. For the past 10+ years, the only player they've drafted that truly excited me was Rasheed Wallace (Wes Unseld must have been locked in the bathroom during that pick).
Rubio would have been a great gamble (see thread about him threatening to stay in Europe), a possible future star guard, according to all the talking heads. But instead our 'brilliant' GM trades for...
Miller/Foye instead? I am sure the Ernie apologists would say that if EG thought Rubio would fall to fifth he wouldn't have traded the pick. Chalk it up as another Bul/Wiz draft mistake.
And now they sell their second round pick when the DaJuans (Blair and Summers) are still out there? Both those players could be great NBA players.
The Bul/Wiz better get it together fast because without any legitimate young stars their window is fast closing.
And I, along with many members of this here board are losing faith quickly

Re: Official vent your frustration with the organization thread
After watching Blair (I am a Pitt Grad) for two years I literally put my head through drywall when we picked another guard. We had the best banger in the draft staring at us with a non-guaranteed contract and we pick a scrub guard we trade to Houston
I am so mad I can barely speak. Blair was everything we needed and he was in our lap. I was a huge EG fan before tonight but now he can bite my ass!

i'm not predicting the apocalypse, I'm saying I'm frustrated. Draft and stash? fine? Trade for future picks? Fine. But cash? For the seocnd straight year. What does that do asset development? You can't develop and trade cash later.

I also blame david Stern....he should of fixed the lottery for us to get Griffin this year. Why would he want Griffen on the Clippers?

Re: Official vent your frustration with the organization thread
Oh man, this has been a great laugh guys. Seeing this board implode over a guy who won't even play in the NBA next year and a second round pick with no ACLs is classic. Keep it coming!

I wouldn't blame EG; I would blame Abe Pollin and the lack of funds.

Re: Official vent your frustration with the organization thread
I posted this in another thread, but I think it can go here too:
Not only that, but Steve Kerr was interviewed and said Blair's knees were shot and he was going to need surgery asap -- which probably means he misses part, if not all of next season.
I was pissed about that getting Blair, but that was before the info on his knees came out. Sounds real bad.
Apparently, Dejuan Blair's knees are the consistency of Jello.
From Yahoo:
Blair was considered a possible lottery pick until teams were scared off by his knees. One team official even said he couldn't find Blair's ACLs on the medical scans.

Re: Official vent your frustration with the organization thread
Ernie is being interviewed on CSN and he said there will be probably be "something announced" in the morning.
Hopefully, it will be his resignation announcement.
But he'll probably announce the signing of a great FA guard.

Javale will play his best ball for another team, in about 3 years is my prediction.
I think he'll be a Larry Nance type player that will never be a true post threat. He's not a defender. He's no Dwight Howard. Never will be. Might make an all star game in 5 years. One or two. But not with this franchise. Washington's committed to Jamison and will resign Haywood and will keep Blatche because he's signed cheap.
Javale and being great arent' happening with this sorry franchise, JWiz.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Re: Official vent your frustration with the organization thread
I find it interesting that Blair was passed over by Big East players like Dante Cunningham and Sam Young.
