Kidd, Billups, Paul, Williams, Parker, Harris are all not high flyers, but just super quick. Teague is not my first choice, but i do like him. he has alot of tools to work with to become a good NBA player. he is going to be exciting to watch, i think given the right coach and system, he could have the same production and game as Monta Ellis.

I like this pick. Sure I prefer Lawson but he was gone. We got our PG of the future. At least I am hoping this time we got him. I will go on thinking that until proven otherwise.

I do not think this was a smart pick. We just got Crawford who has essentially the same skill set as Teague. I think Teague's ceiling is a Flip Murray type player (ironic I know). He isn't a true point guard. True point guards don't have a 1 to 1 assist to turnover ratio throughout their careers. I'm all for a point guard who can score, but I do take exception to one who doesn't look to make good decisions and looks for his own shot. We are putting the ball in the hands of bad decision makers (Crawford and Teague) and most likely getting rid of Bibby who, say what you will, made our team a lot better after his arrival. Whatever our record was before the Bibby trade is about where I expect us to finish this season. Funny what a real point guard will do...

Devin Harris and Gilbert Arenas weren't true point guards in college either.

Very talented scorer, but I don't buy him as a full time PG. Doesn't seem like the best fit- we will see.

Devin Harris had a 2 to 1 assist/turnover ratio which shows he at least had more refined decision making skills... Arenas on the other hand actually put up very comparable numbers overall. That does make me feel a little better, but Arenas isn't really a point guard either (not that I wouldn't love for us to have just drafted Arenas).

stop overanalyzing and just wait and see. he could be good, but he was drafted at 19, there is no guarantee in this draft after the first pick. Calm down please

Don't underestimate the value of his first step. Also, he isn't expected to be a starting guard day one. If he's a competent starter by year 3 it was a good pick.

I know. I used those 2 examples because Arenas was a guy who came out too early and dropped because teams questioned if he was a true point guard...Harris is a guy who stayed for his junior and worked his way up to being the top 5 pick in a good draft. I believe Teague had a good chance of improving his draft stock a ton if he went back to school.

I feel like the Hawks made a solid pick. He is definitely a risk/reward type pick but he still produced at a high level in college(unlike someone like Mullens).

While not a pure PG in the traditional sense, I feel we got the best fit for the system that we have in place. Also Teague strikes me as the best fit next to Joe (down the road) among the PGs that went 18-20. I'm just happy that we didn't draft either Tyler Hansbrough or BJ Mullens. I still think that Crawford is the 6th man and not the starting PG. I think that Bibby is either signed or we go after someone like Ramon Sessions or Raymond Felton to start at PG.

I like the prospect, just not the fit. Team play was one of the team's biggest weaknesses in the playoffs, and so the team trades for and drafts two scoring point guards? As long as he can play, I'm sure he'll help. Just would have liked to see the team go another route.

I like the pick. At 19, there was no one who could have really helped us, unless we packaged the 19 with someone/something for Flynn or something like that. Teague also has great potential, so I like the pick, 'pure PG' or not.

When does the SL start? I am ready to see Teague in action. The more I look at this pick the more I like it. This guy seem to have edge to him that Acie didn't. One thing I am certain of. If Woodson doesn't play Teague then he is likely gone. I don't think the FO is going to allow him to botch another young PG with potential.
