Bucher said "future pick"

Wooo when he said Denver Nuggets I was pumped!!! GK must really like Lawson this much, a year ago he made the Nuggets make a promise to him to select at 20.

A year ago, I would't have been excited... but a year later, Lawson has definitely got better... stronger and more precision in penetrating to the hoop. He's now the official backup of Billups, say bye bye to AC, the veteran will harp into him and he will be a real pro. Slow it down combined with speed... we got a dynamic team.

Its the bobcats pick. Im a fan of this move. the UNC connection will help force AC out of playing time here.

Love it! Best part is how they trick Karl into playing a rookie by getting one from Carolina...brilliant!

Nvm, not the bobcats pick apparently. They did it for ours. Uh.... what? wow, they lose this one.

Heck of a ball player. Could wind up being the best PG in this draft- a real steal this late. He will be a star after a few years behind Billups.

You expect our pick next year to be respectable? Not sure why.

This was a epic steal . Now all you guys have to do is bring everyone back to longer deals and role forward. This is amazing Billups has his apprentice and the franchise no longer has to worry about life after Billups.

Interesting side-note: Ty Lawson and George Karl might share the same college alma mater (UNC), but T-Law and Melo share the same high school alma mater. Yup, that's right. They both played ball at Oak Hill Academy. With a basketball background like that, this guy is destined for success in the NBA.

Chauncey Billups will be the sheriff of the Mile High Crew - no doubt there. But Deputy Ty will also be able to lay down the Law, son!

P.S. Check out Ty Lawson's highlight reels on YouTube. BALLLLLLIN

I agree about Lawson, disagree on the rest. Birdman and LK could/should be brought back. AC and DJ, no thanks. Need a SG to back up JR who can be counted on to hit some outside shots and a big body who can rebound, play some D, and hopefully shoot.

Not a Nuggets fan, but from a outsider perspective, this is hands down the steal of the draft. A future draft pick for a solid roleplayer and potential future point guard? Congratulations Nuggets fans.

Wait... so did we trade Bobcats 1st or 2010 1st for Lawson?

All reports are saying it's Bobcats.

Go Michael Jordan? Even if we did trade the Bobcats' pick, it's not like we can really use it in the "next step" of this current team.......once we're in rebuilding mode picks like that will matter again. This is all about next season.

Not only is Ty a NC alum and Oak Hill alum, but he's under 6 feet tall. That will fo sho get him into that role very quickly. I mean, there are no arguments against it.
