Ricky Rubio (likely the best player in the deal) and whichever Shooting Guard we can trade Flynn for.

All we've been hearing here for the last month or so is how much Kahn loves Rubio and how desperately he was trying to move up to get him.

If anyone's getting traded, it's Flynn.

Can you imagine the calls coming in right now? ... I'm guessing by tomorrow night Flynn will be out, MN will have SG, and the Rubio clan will packing for MN.

There is NO WAY Kahn drafts Rubio if he felt there were serious contract issues.

We can get Kent Brockman???

Just miles from your doorstep, hundreds of men are given weapons and trained to kill. The government calls it the Army, but a more alarmist name would be... The Killbot Factory.

More like Jefferson/rubio for beno/rodriguez... Beno has much more value as a pg than Jefferson and his bad knees.... Jk.... Good draft you guys hope you get it all sorted out.

I think any amount of Rubio's disgruntled-ness would be from seeing the team that drafted him pick another point guard right after him...which is understandable, it doesn't really show a lot of faith. He said he isn't worried about the market, he wants minutes.

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-41-152/Minnesota-s-Unrequited-Love-for-Ricky-Rubio.html
He also said he was very surprised that the team had drafted another point guard in Jonny Flynn. He evaded a question about whether or not he'd even come to the NBA -- until the very end of the meeting with reporters when he threw in a line saying "I want to play basketball, and if they give me minutes, I'm going to come."

Sounds mostly like he was pissed about Flynn. He said he's come if we give him minutes and was "surprised" that we took another PG. It's not hard to imagine that that he did not mean that it was a pleasant surprise. I think it would be easy to get him here if we dealt Flynn for Rudy Fernandez. Gives him a buddy here and shows our faith in him.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

Lol @ the Ricky Rubio/Sun Yue comparison. Might be true. Hopefully this pick works out for you guys. It would suck if he tried to force his way out :(

Ricky was actually a good defender at DKV Joventut. Rubio to Jefferson makes my mouth water

POR fans never fail to amuse me. Rubio may be the wolves #2 asset, but don't ask them to ever touch anyone better than their fifth best player -- those guys are off-limits.

(and I don't think #5 is even in this deal)

When determining Rubios value I ask myself, not really a rubio supporter, the following question.

1) Would I trade Foye & Miller for Rubio?
A) Yes

2) Would I do so knowing he may not play for 1-2 years, and in 25% case never?
A) Yes

3) Would I rather have Rubio stay in Europe 1-2 years or come over ASAP?
A) Spain

He's 18 and the most hyped prospect in quite awhile, and while I was never "sold" on him I do recognize he could become an amazing point guard.

The only reason he would stay in Europe is because he utterly bombed and made no improvements. He wants to be an NBA star, not a Euroleague star.
