Game 3: Minnesota at KC

Post#1 » by Worm Guts » Wed Sep 19, 2007 5:00 pm

It's a bad KC team but it's still a tough enviroment to play in. Whoever our QB is can't turn the ball over. If he doesn't I think we win.

I am so upset with the way the this game ended. We did get screwed by the refs on a couple of calls, one that should have resulted in a touchdown, but once again we lost simply because this offense is horrendous and can't move the ball through the air. If we didn't have AD our offense would have zero points this season.(The only touchdown AD didn't score was the one yard run by Tarvaris that was set up by a big gain by Peterson) He's doing way too much for a rookie, but he says he can handle the work load and I believe him.

I want Brad Childress and his entire staff gone immediately. They are only hurting this teams chances of winning. We gave up the most passing yards last season, and even though we have a new defensive co-ordinator, we still give up way too many yards. This is not a young defense, we have a limit on the amount of time many of these guys will remain competitive. We need to win NOW! And that means putting points on the board.

Our play calling was terrible last year when Brad was at the helm, and now that Bevell has taken over those duties, we're not any better. We allow both QB's to dunk the ball off to the check-down receiver way too often. I really don't want to be this negative this early in the season, but I really see us headed down a bad road. This was supposed to be one of our more winnable games.

Tarvaris, if healthy, should start the rest of the season, so we can see if he is our QB for the future, and Brad and crew better be gone by the off-season.

The team seemed to lose the will to win after they got screwed on the touchdown. And the pass defense - very frustrating. And this was against a team that is built for the run (as much as they're built for anything) with an offensive coordinator who seemed to be as dumb as ours - vikings still couldn't effect their pass offense even on downs when everyone watching knew KC had to pass the ball. Very frustrating. Peterson is very impressive at least.
