PHO - NOH

Post#1 » by platooners » Fri Jun 26, 2009 2:56 pm

PHO trades: Stoudemire and Richardson

NOH trades: West, Chandler, Daniels, 2010 Pick

Would the Suns make this trade?

Talent-wise its an intriguing offer, but we need a legitimate 2 guard in return.

Though it's unlikely for NO to do it, I'd do it for sure. It's way better than GS deal in which we're getting their young players and one proven player. With this deal, we're reloading and being a playoff team, and dare I say maybe better than before? Throw in the 2010, it just adds to it.

That's a done deal. Unlikely though.

Well Im a Hornets fan and would love this deal to happen. Richardson has a bad contract situation but he would be a great SG to run the floor with CP and Stoudemire would be a beast with CP both running the floor and in their halfcourt pick and roll game.

The Hornets could only make this happen if they can unload Peja's contract which is unlikely, unless they can work a deal with the Clippers like Peja for Kaman and Ricky Davis.

That would allow the Hornets the cap room to make this deal and stay around $80 million, which is about where they currently are.

If SG depth is a concern Peterson could be substituted for Daniels. Peterson was injured last year but he a streak shooter and plus perimeter defender. He is reserve that can give you about 20 quality min. per night off the with some scoring potential.

What if Rasual Butler was substituted for the 2010 Pick. Personally, I am a huge Butler fan great defender on the wing, and a great jump shot. He can run the floor. The thing that has always frustrated me is he relies too much on his jump shot, and he has the quickness and hops to take it to the rim. He started most of the year for NO and averaged about 12 ppg. and played very good perimeter defense, and even guarded other teams larger PGs (ie Billups)

This would make the trade

Richardson, Stoudemire for West Chandler Daniels and Butler. (works on trade checker)

The reason for the change is based on the Hornets roster, but all in all I think the change helps Pho.

How do we get a copy of this trade to Kerr? I know he isn't this creative to propose a trade like this without being alerted first.

Does it make us any better than the Hornets with Paul running things? I don't see it

I'd much rather just get Chandler and slot him next to Amare

That was my first thought. Now, Paul > Nash. And if he couldn't lead those guys to the Finals, I don't think Clark + Wallace + Barbosa are better enough than the NOH role players that we'd get there with that crew. Yes to the deal still..

I'd say yes to this deal, or just sending Wallace and our 2010 2nd round pick to NO for Chandler.

dont like this trade. its not a retool, its just moving parts so that we're still not a contending team. sets back retooling. i would only want the suns to give up amare for youth and picks. not one pick and old 4/5's that aren't near as good as amare.

It's not a great trade for the Suns but Kerr would have to do it. It's fair imo but the pick would have to be included.
