Jonny Flynn is a genius

Post#1 » by Calinks » Fri Jun 26, 2009 8:32 pm

This is a positive dude and he uses his positivity to great effect. He knows that we are tired of hearing people complain about the cold, team, or organization. So what does he do? He busts out right away talking about how much he will love it here and how excited he is to be playing with these players. While some fans are iffy or ambivalent towards Rubio's behavior, Flynn is ingratiating himself with the fans every time he talks. I think a big reason why he was even taken at 6 is because his personality. It just goes to show how valuable a positive and assertive personality such as his can take someone. A lot of NBA players should take note from this rook.

Maybe we need to send Flynn to persuade Ricky the MN winters aren't that bad.

FYI Flynn might be my favorite Wolf already

Does anybody else sort of think of him as the "good' version of Johnny Lawrence?

Food dehydrator. You can only live a fulfilling life w/ a food dehydrator. PS3 takes away from that.

If the coach is gonna be Sam Mitchell I can't see Rubio playing.. Smitch doesn't like euros. He will play Flynn and not Rubio..

not to mention that he gets to the rim better than anyone else in this draft. maybe everyone should go back and watch the game against UCONN, in the big east tourny, where he put the team on his back and almost won the game singlehandedly. i love this guy and i hope they can coexist, but, if not, Rubio is a great trading chip to have, as well as Calthes, if he does well.

Do the right thing and pawn off Rubio to some sucker team. Rubio has diva written all over him. Flynn actually WANTS to be there and I think he is a flat out baller/better player. I agree on taking them both as long as you deal one, always take BPA so then you can deal if need be.
Flynn is a stud, and keep him, he may actually stay after his contract is done. Rubio can't score on this level, sell him while his value is high. Love the Wayne pick as well.

Rubio's value will only go up if he spends another year in Spain. No need to worry about selling high, trading him now would be selling low.

Flynn is winning us over quickly.

Let Ricky play out his contract. Better yet, let's just assemble all of the Europe players we have attained, brand them as the EuroWolves, and have them dominate overseas. We could at least root for one winning team.

Flynn is 20, Rubio is 18.

I know people that cried at the thought of going to college when they were 18 b/c they didn't want to leave their home city. Put it in perspective people. THE KID IS 18. He has to move from Barcelona to Minneapolis. Don't expect the maturity level of a 22 year old. He's got to grow up a little, but when he does he's going to be great.

Let them play together for a year, hell, even two years. They will prove they're both studs, and if we have to move one of them, then when we're ready to compete will move one of them for two lottery picks.
