Nellie: “No, I should be clear about that. He wasn’t drafted for somebody else. He is not going to be traded. He was drafted because we think he is going to be a terrific player, and he’s going to be right here. So he can unpack his bags, he can relax, go buy a house because he ain’t goin’ any place.”

Nellie also said that Curry will be the point guard. He said Curry is the best thing he’s seen since Steve Nash and that he thinks he will make a great point guard.

Nellie: “He’s a heck of a player. We drafted him because we think he’s going to be a great point guard. Maybe not his first year. It takes a while for point guards to mature and feel comfortable. I always saw Steve Nash in him, and he is the greatest player I’ve ever coached,” Nelson said. “I’ve been looking for another one for a long time and this is as close as I’ve ever seen in a young player. He has that same ability that Steve had. Shooting, passing, knowledge, just the natural things he’s done that he’s worked on his whole life.”

Catchall:The Bucks traded him for Monta Ellis and did well in that trade. If they can move Biedrins and Jefferson without losing much more than Barnes and another pick, I will be genuinely impressed.Iguodala is a short-sighted contract. Overrated player.

I've never claimed to be an insider mind you. I just have connections in the journalism field. We get lied to. I was told Shaq was going to Bulls. So was IHG I imagine because everyone including players got wind of it. Then the Cavs switch came out of nowhere after we thought Miller was going to work with Amare.

The front office lied to its own peeps.

Anyway, if Tastic wants to pm me his email I'll email him the small connections I have.

Seems like some mighty high praise to turn around and ship him out.

Anyways, I was just posting information I thought might be interesting and relevant.

Seems rather silly that anything one guy posts is above rational questioning, but anything another guy posts is a lie.

Yeah great, but I think my questioning of how a deal can simultaneously be done but important pieces havent been ironed out is a valid contribution to the dicussion.

You just want to argue .....let's be honest here........... again, you can easily avoid this conversation, but it's quite clear the fact that we have a legit source is festering underneath your skin.

What a night (Aussie time). All this Amare trade talk, is it on? Is it off?

What I don't understand is what's happening with Nash. The reports says that he wanted Shaq out and we gave him what he wanted so I'm assuming he's staying in Phoenix. BUT there were also reports that he wanted to win a championship unless I've been totally misinformed. Nash would've obviously been told by Kerr about a high probability that Amare would've been traded when they met in NY and there's no way our team would be competing with the role players we're getting back.

Why would Nash stay on a team that's may won't even be playoff-bound?

I;m very close to locking all these trade threads...they're degenerating very quickly...

Let's stop with the name calling and 'he said, she said' to the Warriors posters coming in here to voice their opinion and W's fans please do the same....

Let's all show a little Aretha to each other ;)

Nelson: Curry's not going anywhere

Curry

Curry

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Stephen Curry can get comfortable with the Golden State Warriors. He's not going anywhere.

Coach Don Nelson says the Warriors won't trade Curry, their surprise selection with the seventh overall pick in Thursday's draft.

The Davidson guard led the nation in scoring last season, but seemed an odd choice for the Warriors, given that high-scoring guard Monta Ellis plays much the same style of game. It led to speculation that Golden State drafted Curry to trade him.

Although Nelson and general manager Larry Riley didn't deny discussions with the Phoenix Suns about a trade for power forward Amare Stoudemire, they made it clear Curry won't be a part of any potential deal.

Then kick out the GW fans who are here to make trouble. It's pretty simple. Leave the ones who actually contribute to the conversation.

The problem is we have the same few GW fans saying the same thing incessantly. Say your piece and then GTFO. Otherwise you're just a sucker for arguing and raising trouble on the boards.

IDK guys, lots of sources reporting Curry won't be included. I mean I trust IHG but this situation seems to get weirder each hour.

Nelson really wants Curry. Enough that he thinks he may be able to build around a core of Curry and Amare it seems. Just saying. My own speculation. That bodes well for Phoenix in any 'negotiations' we have.

Paraphrasing Riley yesterday he said "they were still under the impression" Curry was part of the plans. He danced around the subject more than a living Michael Jackson ........ heeeeeee heeeeeee. :o

It's a heated discussion for sure. I feel like this trade could possibly turn around our franchise so I apologize for being rude. I love the trade rumors and what not, this is more exciting than our season was!

enigmatics this is a free forum, they can go wherever they like and say whatever they like (within reason) - if you don't agree with it, then voice your opinion but voice it respectfully. telling people to STFU and GTFO is just childish

Jesus never thought I'd say it but I'm sick of reading all this crap over and over again on here

So GW thinks we're going to just hand over a player like Amare giving them two cornerstones and getting nothing of true value in return? Not quite. We don't have to trade Amare. Worst thing happens he plays another year then comes off the books.

I'm not disagreeing with they can say whatever they like, but there's a difference between voicing an opinion and trolling. They are trolling. You know it and I know it.
