what I've thought all along. Now the only thing he needs is a multi-mill endorsement and PlayTime and it's all good.

all the public whining pre and post draft did fegan no good with yi, and he had the chinese govt behind him. rubio will be here, it's only a matter of when.

if rubio stays in spain a year, flynn could dominate and we trade him for a top pick next year.

90% of this is media starting a rumor that gets repeated and repeated and repeated and all of a sudden has legs. minor (and incomplete) blurb from rubio's dad saying they're basically undecided becomes love tweet that his dad says he's staying for a year or 2. case in point.

Also Rubio coming to the presser would have put too much pressure on him (and us) to bring him over this year.

This is the Minnesota TimberWolves board. A place for Wolves posters to give opinions. Not a place for fans of others teams to troll. If you have a trade offer post it in this thread. For anything else Rubio related go to the general board, draft board, or your own board if you want to talk about it. No one here cares what you think is a joke or who you think Flynn equals.

That goes for all nonWolves fans.

I'm sure Glen Taylor could have one of his billionaire buddies sign Rubio to a marketing contract with a $4.7 million dollar advance. :D

David Kahn was just on espn news radio. Rubio's not going anywhere, and certainly not to New York for pieces that we don't need.

even a small shoe contract with a major company would easily cover the buyout with rubio's worldwide hype value. sad thing is those contracts also usually have huge incentives for big markets, which is the carrot that drives greedy agents to steer their players to those markets.
there's no question fegan lost alot of money yesterday. he now has to come to grips with the fact ricky isn't going to ny, la, chi, or houston.

I love sending Rubio overseas for a season or two. Longer rookie scale deal when he comes over. If he continues to improve in Europe we get a stud eventually or a major bargaining chip in the future.

Kahn needs to be patient. Fegan tried to screw with Milwaukee when the drafted Yi. Eventually the Bucks prevailed. Fegan can try all he wants to get the Wolves to move him, but in the end he has little leverage.

Obviously you have to be open to trading him if someone knocks your socks off, but the NY joke of a deal won't get it done. That is pure crap!

Kahn, if anything, is a master negotiator. Right now he is playing it cool and keeping positive, and really he couldn't be handling this any better.

Is it weird that I'm beginning to get a man crush on Kahn? The dude is smart.

What's wrong with NY deal?? I mean, Chandler is 87 born.. he could easily be in this draft.. and he is already a pretty nice scorer and a very complete player. If u add a Lee(another terrific player), I don't see how this is a bad deal.. especially considering u get the fifth for Foye, who is not a phenom at all

Magnus, the Foye for 5 deal has nothing to do with the value of Rubio.

Giving the situation(he doesn't want to come), the value of ricky is even lower.. minny is not in a strong position, especially because the young kid put some limitations to the places he wants to go.
