It's like Lebron to NY.. except it's Rubio to NY..

Well least you guys know how us Cavs fans feel..

I hope you guys keep Rubio, though.

thanks B, yeah, I have sympathized with you guys for awhile. It's just like what always happens for our teams in baseball.

the presence of idiot posters doesn't bother me nearly as much as the apparent apathy of the mods.
Various Wolves posters have been getting goaded all day long. It's not just the trade board/general board, it's here too.

I see Mod in the face of every wolves poster I come across.

Yeah this got pretty ugly the second we drafted Jonny Flynn

We didn't even get a chance to celebrate Rubio, it was just a flood of Knicks fans saying they now have Rubio

They flooded in like zombies too flesh and fly's to poop just leaving carnage everywhere

We need a Knicks forcefield up, especially when they started to get abusive at a simple "we're keeping Rubio" response

gopher. You whine a lot. I explained in the other thread what was happening. I am sure you can control tab browsing enough to endure a lil forum chaos. wow.

Besides a couple of real zeroes who showed up to post the Crazy, I actually started to find it funny after a while. Whaddya gonna do, we drafted a guy who everyone wants.

Rev, i wasn't trying to be hard on you, (or the other MN mods) I was trying to make humor and get a little help with a frustrating situation at the same time. The entire board was brutal today for Wolves fans. I'm trying to hang in there like everyone else.

You are new (oct 07) the last couple days were nothing compared to the last year or so of KG. :D If you guys cannot handle the last couple days then it will be tough having a good team with stud players. You get spammed a lot. Hurts more when pdx is our rival and their fans are known for their rabidness.

No worries. I understand the frustration.

LOL! Rev, I've been trying hard to forget the KG-trade days!

Every week a new fanbase would show up, spurred by a fake rumor from a local sportscaster on a deadline. Remember that guy from PHX? The GSW guys who kept telling us how great POB really was? The Lakers who'd never consider touching future HOFer Andrew Bynum? The one thing they had in common was how they said since KG was lforcing his way out, we'd get nothing in trade, and we should just accept their offer of their fourth best player and filler.

For a trade value guy like me, this was a month of murder.

If you're considering deputizing someone, I'd nominate john2jer.

LOL, J2J would cause as much trouble as he put out. Must be why we like him so much.

And no worries Gopher, I thought the thread title was funny enough.

Though I wasn't a poster at the time, I remember the KG trade days, and this is comparable. Regardless, I don't think it is that bad overall. Yup, we get frusterated at times, but it is mostly uninformed/ignorant/homered individuals and their pipe dreams. I, for the most part, just ignore them or shake my head at them and feel bad for them. It really isn't (Usually) worth getting that worked up about. Be a passionate fan, but don't lower yourself to someone else's level.

BTW, Ellington and Flynn signifies the final piece of the KG trade....

Jefferson, Flynn1, Ellington, Gomes, Telfair, Green, Ratliff

That's quite a haul. Anyone who thinks we got fleeced in that deal is on crack.

1- if you remember, we got our own first round pick back. We had earlier traded that to Bosotn in the Ricky Davis deal.

Technically, Flynn wouldn't be a part of the equation.

Due to a league rule prohibiting teams from ever placing themselves in a situation where two consecutive future first-round picks have been traded away, the Celtics cannot receive the first round pick the Timberwolves owe from the Ricky Davis/Wally Szczerbiak trade until two years after the Timberwolves send a pick to the Clippers (from the Sam Cassell/Marko Jaric trade).

Hmm... i read something different in a Marc Stein article.

So the pick we got back from Boston is going to be the 2013 pick?

yeah, I need to leave logic at the door and just muck it up like J2J.

I actually read posts here on RealGm for a couple of years before I was finally able to register.
(They wouldn't let me use my Yahoo account.) It was the KG insanity that pushed me to join.

maybe "Who Moved My Wolf?" should be standard reading for all Sota fans who join this site.
