Rubio- Future Ex. Timberwolve? Timberwolf?

Post#1 » by hbhakta » Fri Jun 26, 2009 11:12 pm

After missing the press conference, and Rubio and his Agent wanting to play in New York, makes me wonder.

They want to work out a deal that would said Nate Robinson and David Lee to the Timberwolves for Rubio. Petrie loves both of these players, as he tried to trade for them before...

I was thinking, maybe Fegan knew that if he went to Sacramento, they would turn him to New York, and the Kings get the two players they wanted from New York, but at the end.... they decided to skip out on all this drama and just pick Evans...

This sounds ridiculous i know, but....that was my thought process of this situation. What are your thoughts, could this have been a possibility? and would you prefer a Nate Robinson and David Lee instead of just Tyreke Evans?

Kind of far fetched but I would definitely rather have Tyreke...
Tyreke has the potential 2 be a superstar while david lee is okay and Nate is jusst a freak.

Tyreke Evans has the potential to be another rotation player in the NBA

If by Dwayne Wade type rotation player, then yes I would say you're right.

I'm not sure that I would compare him to Wade so much as maybe the Rock or Arenas (depending on how much he bulks out as he gets into his twenties).

A big guard who is a bull inside and a natural scorer who needs to learn jump shooting consistency and can also handle well and find the open man.

Definitely prefer Evans. Evans has superstar potential none of the players coming our way do. I would love to have Lee in our 3 big man rotation but not at this price.

No lee for me. He can't play defense. I would much rather just let thompson play and get a veteran center to move into the rotation.
