It is not that simple to say he doesn't want to go.. these sports guys, are scared to ruin their image..

Come on now, just listen to him he obviously know everything that Rubio is thinking. He even knows more about Rubio then Rubio does.

Have you ever been to Minnesota? 16th larges metropolitan area in the US. It also is the hold the 5th highest standard of living. I'll admit I have live in MN my whole life but, I have been to about 40 of the 50 states and the Twin Cities area isn't as terrible as people make it out to be.

It's not about the city, it's about the team and the organization. From what I read and listened the city is beautiful, so I don't think is it about it.

after listening to the radio interview it sounds like the only problem is the buyout. it's not all terrible if the kid has to go back to Spain for another year.

Who's had more success over the last 10 years, the Wolves or the Knicks? We have a brand new team and a brand new organization. We've turned the page, just like the Knicks have since the Isiah days, so really that's just not a fair statement at all. Move along now. We're growing tired of your needless antagonistic ways.

Better situation: Knicks who have no first round picks next year or the Wolves who'll have 3 more 1st rounders next year, plus better players?

This guys in denial. 2010 cant come soon enough and even that's a toss up if they get any good FA's

Thank you for the insight sir. Do you happen to have official measurements for him? Best I have heard is 6'5 with a 6'8 wingspan at 190lbs. To me that means he will fill out and "look" physically like a SG so having a small defensive scoring guard in flynn fits much better than if rubio had to defend the crazy quick NBA pg's.

He's an extremely popular player and a flashy defender (two big reasons to get the award). He gets a very high amount of steals and his anticipation is outstanding, but IMO he has not always put the proper effort (an effor we did see in previous seasons). Still he was a very good defender, but could've been a lot better in many games.

As for his measurements, the word in Spain is that he had a 6-9 wingspan and that he was between 6-3 and 6-4 on barefoot. But since he got measured in this draft process, I guess those ones are the correct ones.

Anyway, if you put Rubio to guard SGs, expect an incredible amount of flops to cash in off his awesome anticipation and inferior strength. Who knows, it might work. He could end up being a Ginobili with less lateral quickness in that regard.

Is the general consensus that the T-Wolves will be moving either Ricky Rubio or Jonny Flynn? If that's the case, wouldn't they have drafted the player they intended to keep 6th for the lower salary?

I'm not a Wolves fan but do you want Flynn well your at it? Add up the stats of the players you're offering and you dont equal what Al gets, plus the fifth pick? Sure, you guys can just plan the following 5 championship parades(if you can aford them) now.

How bout Mobley(exp), Chandler and Hill for Rubio, Smith and some garbage?

If I had to pick a package from New York it would have Gallinari in it, not Chandler. Chandler/Hill are not enough for Rubio alone.

Ammo is a expiring, I was just wondering. Alot of people are high on Bynum but I would much rather have a beast like Al down low next to Pau, than a finesse type that it appears Bynum will be. I really like Al, he is rough and EXTREMLY UGLY. That is the right combo for the perfect enforcer.

Not in Rubio's case, since he needs every penny (and many more) to pay his buyout.

No, the general consensus (at least according to the Front Office, the only opinions that really matter) is that both will be kept and played together.

If that's the case, wouldn't they have drafted the player they intended to keep 6th for the lower salary?

Kahn has already addressed this. The reason that they took Rubio first is because the team can only spend $500,000 towards Rubio's buyout, so he needs all of the salary he can get to so that he can come to the States as soon as possible.

If I had to pick a package from New York it would have to have Lebron in it. They're apparently already make trade plans with Rubio, so making a trade with Lebron to Minnesota shouldn't be a problem.

I think all of these can be very, very funny if Rubio turns out to be a bust. Minn and NY fans are arguing with each other; if Rubio is coming to NY or not; or him staying Europe. What happens if this kid turns out just to be a solid player, maybe a backup player at best.

He has great youtube moments, but we all have to ask ourselves, what overseas player who lived up to the hype? Rubio is getting Lebron kind of hype! Remember years ago when the all the media folks stating that NBA were going to filled with foreign players? It hasn't happened.

I'm not sure if Rubio is going to be what everything thinks he is. I hope the Knicks can get a quality point guard, whoever that player is going to be.
