Can't The Deal Still Fall Through?

Post#4 » by The Diesel » Sat Jun 27, 2009 12:53 pm

Hey guys,

Is the Shaq trade completely official or do the players still have to pass the physicals to complete the deal?

Didn't Ben Wallace suffer a broken leg at the end of the season? And wasn't Pavlovic also injured last year?

There is STILL a possibility they fail the physical...so can Phoenix back out of the deal?

Given all the negative reaction to trading Shaq for nothing, I wouldn't be surprised if they back out and say Wallace and/or Pavlovic failed their physicals.

What's going on? Is this deal going through no matter what or can it still fall through?

I think they want Wallace to play for them because Amare/Lopez/Amundson isn't enough in terms of having enough big-men on the roster.

What do you guys think will happen?

Thanks.

Im 100% confident that the Suns couldnt care less what sort of shape Wallace and Pavlovic are in. They just want them for their contracts. Its a purely financial move. It wont fall through.

The Suns would probably prefer if Wallace is hurt, they could probably pick up some sort of insurance on him...

Phoenix doesn't give a hoot about playing them.. Like someone said, it's a financial move. Also, Wallace and Pavs are both healthy as far as right now. They didn't have any significant injuries during the playoffs.

Oh boy, we got a Genius here... Lets squeeze the brain for a moment.. Perhaps if the Suns wanted big men on the roster they would not have traded the expiring Shaq for other expirings ? No ?

Apparently the Suns targeted Ben Wallace as their missing piece..

But as I said, the Suns won't have enough big-men on the roster if Wallace fails the physical.

Lopez/Amundson/Amare isn't enough.

And what free-agents will want to go to Phoenix after seeing how Kerr has destroyed that team?

I just have a feeling this deal will fall through...

They probably want Wallace to play for them.

Seeing Wallace play under the quick tempo of the Phoenix offense will be one of the more laughable things we'll see, if he does play.

Dude, not to be mean or anything, but you're in a serious state of denial right now, it's done, there's 0% chance it's rescinded. Go chase Sarver with a pitchfork.

Hey guys here is the point of the trade. Shaq thrives best with an athletic hustling PF who can play defense. That is Varajoe. Now if Brown would trust Green and Darnell early in the year and we can find another wing who can guard great wings and hit the spot up jumper.

The point of the trade was to save money. Simple as that. Suns don't plan on using Big Ben or Sasha. Most likely going to blow the team up and start over.

Why haven't the players taken their physicals yet?

Rafer Alston couldn't talk to the media today because he didn't finish his physical yet.

What's taking so long for this to be completed?

If we get Villanueva all we need is an athletic defensive swing man. Hill or Barnes makes sense, maybe a trade for quinton ross or something?

I wouldn't be surprised if Shaq successfully convinces Hill to come because Hill and Shaq are best friends.

That would give us a team of 3 hall of famers, pretty cool. How many players who ever played on the cavs have made it into the hall?
