Hedo?

Post#1 » by SunsWinSunsWin » Sat Jun 27, 2009 8:27 pm

This guy is clutch and is looking for about 10mil per. If we can shed some salary with Wallace and buyout Pavlocic we should seriously consider picking up Hedo. My favorite non-Sun would fit perfectly in our system.

we'd have to be under the cap by 10 mill to offer him 10 mill; shedding wallace and pavlovic will put us under the LUXURY TAX threshold, but not under the SALARY CAP, so we won't be able to offer Hedo more than the MLE

i've always liked Turk, but the team that gives him $50m over 5 is going to regret it.

He would have been great with small ball/DA, but not when we're rebuilding....(I think that's what we're doing?)

Sarver has stated he is willing to pay the tax for a winning team. Would Hedo be enough...no, but it is a nice thing to dream about!

I knew that trading our 2010 pick would come back to really hurt us.

But the reality is unless we salary dump Richardson too there's no feasible way we can get under the cap, which means we can't make any major offers.

Actions speak louder than words, my friend.

As for Hedo,he is "too good" for what we can pay him, but I agree with Tastic in that he's not good enough for a sustainable 10 mil a year. He could get 10 million a year if you multiply one of his "good" games by 82, but hell if you did that you'd be counting the last 3 years. WHAMMY!

Sign and trade J-Rich for Hedo? Gives them Nelson, J Rich, Vince-anity, Dwight, and Gortat, not bad.

He'd be cheaper than Richardson.
