last draft i was one of the few sonics fans that wanted presti to take brook lopez @ number 4. westbrook looks like a player, but lopez had a fantastic rookie year and it's interesting thinking about where the team would be.
rubio
??
durant
green
lopez
would have been a fun roster. a lot more balanced anyway, and it'd be easier to find a SG than now when they're looking for a C.

Re: If OKC had drafted Lopez
In 2000 we could have taken Michael Redd instead of Mason
In 2001 we could have taken Richard Jefferson instead of Vladimir
Ok I'll play your game
In 2003 we could have taken David West and Barbosa instead of Nick and Luke
In 2004 we could have taken Al Jefferson instead of Swift
In 2005 we could have taken David Lee instead of Petro
In 2006 we could have taken Ronnie Brewer instead of Sene
Barbosa/Rubio
Redd/Brewer
Durant
West/Green
Lopez/Lee
Not a bad lineup without any FAs

Re: If OKC had drafted Lopez
obviously we wouldn't have ended up with those picks if we drafted perfectly, so that's kind of a spurious argument.
i just remember a lot of people saying 'NO LOPEZ NO LOPEZ'. out of all the instances you cited the only one i remember being a debate was al jefferson and robert swift.

Re: If OKC had drafted Lopez
Maybe some of you people don't know Lopez is such a black hole...Besides that he is good at basically everything as a center.
I don't think picking RW0 is any worse, and it's risky to take Rubio, his family and Damn Fegan are making trouble to T-Wolves, they may end up with nothing in #5.
look at our current young roster
PG:Westbrook/Weaver/Livingston
SG:Harden/Sefolosha/Weaver/Livingston/Vaden
SF:Durant/Green/Sefolosha
PF:Green/Collison/White/Ibaka
C:Krstic/Collison/Mullens
It's not bad, and next year we can add another qualified PF/C via the draft.
