i mean what is the point to let you people know before hand anyway, its not like your paying me for the info.

i told you amare was not getting traded 2 weeks before the deadline, ..did it actaully help anyone? the day came and it happened.

I'm sorry, but there is a 50/50 chance that you would have been correct or not. Not the best info to be bragging about.

I dont understand why so many people care about IHG sources. if you dont believe him, then sit back and stfu. if you do, then sit back and stfu... whats the big issue? why is everyone so hell bent on calling this guy out?

But Curry falling was obviously the deal breaker for the Warriors. So what? Deals constantly fall apart at the last minute over a lot less than the difference between Curry's potential and Hill's potential.

Here's the problem with that:

If Curry was the deal-breaker and they didn't say so to the Suns, they're breaking a freakin' deal. I don't care how they feel about Curry. If they didn't state it in the handshake, they're liars.

Even if you are right, so what? NBA front offices are basically a liars' club. And on draft day, if you're not lying, you're not trying.

I am still pulling for a trade with GSW with Amare - just hope it includes Curry or Randolph. Getting Biedrins, Wright and either Azi or Belli would add some nice depth to the team

Now the second part - what to do with J-Rich. I know the Suns say they wouldn't want both Chandler and Biedrins - but if the Hornets were interested, a JRich/Wallace for Chandler/Peja seems like a good fit for the Suns. Hornets get the cap relief from Wallace; Suns get rid of JRich for Peja and get Tyson Chandler - more depth at the 4-5 spot. and then Peja's shooting I guess I can dream

Suns have already saved $3.3m with the Pavlovic deal.

If they trade Amare to GSW- could might save up to another two million based on the 15% rule (or is 25%) rule

Finally, I believe would save money in a Wallace - Chandler deal. Though taking on the one more year - but I believe Ben makes $17m and Chandler will make something like $12 - so might need to add another player to get the numbers to match

So overall, best scenario in my world - could save some good money and get better defensivley. Granted, that whole at 4 spot with Amare's 25 points is huge.

People are just tired of all this. I think GS fans think they have curry, and maybe they do, while suns fans think they have him. It's a matter of wanting what you can't have. People just need to sit back and not worry. There is NOTHING any of us can do to change what will or will not happen. Don't let it worry you so much.

If the situation were reversed would you want Phoenix to give up Curry because they made a tentative deal thinking the best they could do was Hill? To save Kerr's reputation as a pushover? LOL.

Yep. Sure as hell do.

We did with Iguodala a few years back. We traded our pick to Chicago (who chose Deng). We didn't thin Iggy would be on the board still.

But that's how honorable people handle situations like this.

and how'd that work out for you?

Verbal agreements get broken ALL THE TIME, and if thats whats best for the team I'd sure hope thats what the general manager would do. If kerr at the last moment thought extending amare was a better option then he better do that instead, and no one would hold it against him.
Catchall:The Bucks traded him for Monta Ellis and did well in that trade. If they can move Biedrins and Jefferson without losing much more than Barnes and another pick, I will be genuinely impressed.Iguodala is a short-sighted contract. Overrated player.

Sorry, man. But there's even honor among thieves.

GMs who operate this way get blackballed. Heard Jerry Colangelo speak on this subject at length once upon a time.

Nothing can happen until July 8 I believe - per league rules. So, almost two more weeks

ESPN was talking about it 2 days prior to the draft.

You're basically saying that if it benefits the team you might as well muddy your reputation.

No one would hold it against him? Try telling that to all the other GM's who may consider making future trades with your organisation espec when it revolves around impending drafts. Do you honestly think they wouldn't hold it against him?

We still dont know for a fact that Nellie double crossed kerr, its speculation at this point. We also don't know exactly how far the talks were/how tight the agreement was. I agree with khoee that the warriors would not commit to the deal without knowing who was on the board at 7. Deals fall apart all the time at the last minute, and no ones reputation gets dragged through the mud. Theres no need to belittle either teams front office, at least not until all the facts come out.

this could all be a misunderstanding on what the agreement was.
