yo, lay off. IHG has just the same amount of right to be this board than anyone of us. I think this thread is done and needs to be locked until; things cool down.

Nellie DID double cross Kerr. The deal was in place. Take it for what it's worth but that's a FACT.

I just hope kerr does the right thing and walks away if either randolph or curry isnt involved. which im pretty sure he will.

from the W's side it doesnt make much sense to me to have so many gaurds and have a guy like amare being dangled in front of you only to break the deal because of an unproven/undersized/out of position 2 gaurd. I still think a trade is in place but the warriors are still posturing to see if they can pull curry off the table. clearly something is still in the works or this would have been called dead long ago.

Kerr has tried to do some good things and I wont blame him for where we are at now. sarver is the reason we sell draft picks, kerr just follows the orders.

Verbal agreements get broken ALL THE TIME, and if thats whats best for the team I'd sure hope thats what the general manager would do. If kerr at the last moment thought extending amare was a better option then he better do that instead, and no one would hold it against him.

Spoken like a man with no honor.

the only thing that's certain is that IF Golden State said they would trade the pick under certain conditions (one of which included Curry being on the board) they'll have to sweeten the pot...

one way to do that would be take JR's contract off your hands...

We still dont know for a fact that Nellie double crossed kerr, its speculation at this point.

I think the cheer from the Suns War Room when Curry was drafted speaks volumes. They thought he was ours.

Combine them with the growing reports out there about Nellie's flip-flop and I think it's pretty damn clear.

FWIW I don't think curry should be a major holdup in the deal...but Nelson's one of the best there is at evaluating guard talent.
Catchall:The Bucks traded him for Monta Ellis and did well in that trade. If they can move Biedrins and Jefferson without losing much more than Barnes and another pick, I will be genuinely impressed.Iguodala is a short-sighted contract. Overrated player.

No see that's the sticking point. Assumption is the mother of all F ups. And Nelson assumed Curry would be gone by #7 and he wasn't. The Suns know about this sort of thing - we honoured a deal where we assumed iggy would be gone and he wasnt, so Deng was taken and shipped to CHI

Sorry, man. But there's even honor among thieves.

GMs who operate this way get blackballed. Heard Jerry Colangelo speak on this subject at length once upon a time.

What way? You are blowing this out of proportion. It's not as if Kerr drafted Clark for GSW and is now stuck with a pick he didn't want or something. Kerr still has all the chips he had before the alleged "deal". The only problem for Kerr is that someone (any guesses who?) leaked this before it was a truly done deal.

Once again both front offices agree that Biedrins+Curry+Wright+Belinelli > Stoudemire. So how is it a fair trade? Trades are done when both teams think that what they are getting helps them more than what they are giving up.

Bottom line - Coro posted on his draft blog that Curry was picked for the Suns.....that's how it got out there. IHG reported it beforehand here, but Coro had a source, someone in the organization, that said Curry was ours and that was how espn found out about it That alone speaks volumes.

Sorry, stickdog99. There's more out there that suggests this was done now.

Somehow, things got changed. I've seen nothing that suggests Kerr shifted gears and is screwing anyone. I've seen plenty that says GS did.

Like I said before, hope you like your current team. It's yours for awhile now.

This sad story plays out over the internet boards everywhere. Keyboards across the world are ablaze with samurai warriors who battle at the push of the finger. When you are dead and buried the best that could be said about you is, "At least his mother didn't have twins."

You sir, are such an a$$hat.

There is a reason Riley wouldn't comment on curry being part of the deal on draft night. He didn't know what to do.

Oh dont get me wrong, i too see good things for curry but It just seems like the logical/smart thing to do in grabbing amare while you have the chance. If he clears medically and agrees to an extension...youre not going to get too many chances to get a big man like him. (yes i know he has his defensive/rebounding flaws but hes the best offensive PF in the league right now) and no dis to the warriors but I think we all know bosh comming over via free agent is pretty slim.
