I would love for him to be a Spur. We need more bigmen.

Hopefully he makes the team like Rasho said we need another bigman and he'll come cheap too.

He was good in Italy. Really an outstanding athlete.. Could bring some energy during the regular season, and could become a really nice defender down the road. He also showed some serious range with his jumpshot. He was able to make a good amount of 3 point shots form the european 3 point line

Well we need another big man, but I sure don't think we're gonna count on a whole bunch of rookies to fill the void. As it stands, Bonner is still our starter. Either Blair or Ian will get minutes off the bench but not both. And we'll sign someone with our MLE as another big. So Gist, even if he makes it, most likely won't be a contributor IMO. So not much to be excited about really.

I'm liking this move, If Gist comes back he'll give us some young legs, I'm thinking he'll probably give Ian and Blair a run for their minutes.
Realistically they'll be 2nd or 3rd stringers, depending on who we sign with the MLE, they'll play behind TD, Bonner and F/A. Still will look good for future if they can get here and get some minutes behind them, esp if Splitter rumours in 2010 come to fruition.
We'll have a nice young frontcourt that we can shape and mould and help pick up the slack as TD production is reduced.
Fate rarely calls upon us at a time of our choosing

I kinda hope the Spurs can bring back Pops Mensah-Bonsu. Not for the MLE ofcourse. I'm not sure if his value is still the minimum. Pops can probably get the LLE from somewhere.
