You sure you don't want Camby instead of Harrington right? I didn't get back to you before the deadline but I'm willing to do that. Harrington would actually fit moreso in my lineup than Camby at this point

While we hate to lose a solid pick in this years draft, we could resist picking up two players who fit in nicely in our uptempo offense.

Accepted

Dallas takes a LOT of 2010-2011 salary on and goes into the lux tax, but for Cuban, money is no deterrent and we weren't going to be players in FA next year anyways.

The key to this deal is Charlotte's 1st next year. As Dallas has no 1sts of its own, they are extremely pleased to pick one up in this deal without dropping too much in present talent

FYI...The pick is Top 12 protected in 2010, not top 15

Charlotte’s own 2010 1st round pick to Denver (top 12 protected in 2010, top 10 protected in 2011, top 8 protected in 2012, top 3 protected in 2013, and unprotected in the 2014 NBA Draft). [Charlotte-Denver, 6/25/2008]

He said 15 as his roster page wasn't updated.. hmm I don't think Rondo/Allen/Green/Harrington/Nene with Alston, Ariza, Powe finishes bottom 12 looking it over... I guess I rescind the trade

Wait, wouldn't a top 12 protected pick be BETTER for you since there's a greater chance you receive the 2010 pick??

No, he would only get it if it were in the top 12.

I just got home but I'm closing trading as of now. Please make sure your rosters are updated and start sending me an e-mail on where you rank the teams in categories that were specified in the e-mail I sent out.

The GS Warriors and SA Spurs have agreed to a deal:

GSW send:

PF Brian Cardinal, 6.75M expiring
2011 Boston 1st, unprotected

6.75*1.25=8.4>8 so it works

SAS send:

PF David Lee, 8M 3 years after salary switch

GSW accepts and looks forward to adding David Lee to our young core. Parker-West-Beasley-Lee-Biedrins is not too bad. Tough to lose a potential top pick but bird in hand etc etc

Accepted.

While David Lee's rebounding was great, his defense and offensive shortcomings ended up being a liability.

This gives San Antonio and additional 8 million dollars in capspace next season to replace him. We also add an unprotected 1st round pick in 2011, which is most likely going to be in the lotto.

Doh! I was a bit slow on the uptake LBJ.

Could easily go either way depending on how the Eastern teams do the rest of the way

The Celtics and Lakers have agreed to a Trade

These are the 2009-2010 salareies as im not sure if we have converted to new salaries yet...
LAL Outgoing

Josh Childress: 7,271,524
LAL 2011 First

for

Celtics Outgoing
Joe Alexander: $2,583,360
Daquan Cook: $1,362,120
Julian Wright: $2,000,040
2009 #18 pick
Outgoing Salaries: 5,945,520*1.25= 7,431,900

THIS DEAL IS CONTINGENT UPON the PLAYER OPTIONS NOT BEING PICKED UP YET, I will decide at a later date whether or not to pick up the player options for the 2010-2011 season.

WHY trade for Lakers: The reason i did this was because childress, has fallen back on our depth chart with the aquisistion of Gerald Wallace, so it was time to move on. As well we get into the first round of this draft, as well as gain quite a lot of financial flexibility this offseason to build around Lebron if he so chooses to stay which i hope he does as i believe we are just a front court player/center away from being a pereninal championship contender.

OK, the Lakers and the Celtics have worked out the BYC and TO issues, so here's the new deal:

(Using 2009-2010 salaries)

BOS outgoing:

Joe Alexander $2,583,360
Julian Wright $2,000,040
Daequan Cook $1,362,120
NOH 2010 1st round pick (#18)

Total: $5,945,520

BOS incoming:

Josh Childress $7,271,524
Chris Mihm $825,497 (minimum salary - doesn't count in incoming total)
Walter Sharpe $736,420 (minimum salary - doesn't count in incoming total)
LAL 2011 1st round pick

Total: $7,271,524

5,945,520 X 1.25 + 100,000 = 7,531,900
31,900
7,531,900 > 7,271,524

LAL outgoing:

Josh Childress $3,635,762 (BYC - counts as half in outgoing total)
Chris Mihm $825,497
Walter Sharpe $736,420
LAL 2011 1st round pick

Total: $5,197,679

LAL incoming:

Joe Alexander $2,583,360
Julian Wright $2,000,040
Daequan Cook $1,362,120
NOH 2010 1st round pick (#18)

Total: 5,945,520

5,197,679 X 1.25 + 100,000 = $6,597,098
6,597,098 > 5,945,520

Celtics accept. We like Chill's versatility, shooting, and defense. We also get an additional pick in next year's draft.
