Our goalie did everything he could but he had little to no support.

U.S. needs to be up 4-0 at the half for us to have a chance against Brazil, they are just too-good.

I take it back...same ole U.S.A. Bruce Arena ball in the second half. Need to get rid of that crappy style of play.

We started falling apart late in the 1st half. You could see that we werent challenging for the ball as we had earlier in the game. When Brazil stopped pushing the ball (which is why we got those two goals on counter attacks), we should have also adjusted our game. We didnt do that. We kept looking for the counter attack. In the 2nd half, Brazil went with set pieces, and they relied little on that flare (which is what cost them the 2 goals).
From this game,we should learn about composure, and how to change our game when the opponent changes theirs. We should practice how to play keep away. Without that, we will not be able to preserve a lead very effectively. You saw how Brazil played keep-away when they got the lead. We need to learn that.
We're close.

Playing keep away is what let Brazil back into the game. The US had all 11 men in their own half. Should have never taken their foot off the gas pedal. Even when Brazil got the lead, they were still attacking relentlessly. Brazil was not playing keep away, they know how to pass the ball and still be offensive. Furthermore, the U.S looked winded at the start of the second half. Coach took waaaaaaaay too long to make subs. This team still suffers from the effects of Bruce Arena. They depend far too heavily on the counterattack and lottery long balls. The US need to learn how to string close passes together and not pack everyone in the back for defense.....GAWD!!!

I hate seeing all the fair-weather Brazil fans. I simply don't understand how you can root against YOUR country in favor of one you have no ties to. Can someone enlighten me?

 Should have subbed and not been so conservative in the second half.
