If Chad is such an idiot? Why is cleveland reduced to signing an aging Shaq now? Along with a bunch of scubs minus Mo.

that was the roster the season before he came. I like what Ferry has done.

Hate to break it to you, but that's not impressive.

That roster had:
Z, Varejao, Gooden, LeBron, Pavlovic. Those 5 guys were among the top 7 contributors on a Finals team 3 years later. And Varejao, Z and LeBron are currently starters on the team.

That means Ferry has only been able to add two starters with $25M+ in cap space in 2005, the MLE each year after, picks, and potential trades of expiring contracts and other assets.

And given all that, Ferry has only managed to add Mo Williams and West. Mo who was given away in a salary dump because he can't play PG for a contender and fits with the Cavs only because LeBron allows him to play a combo guard spot while still guarding PGs. And West who was a good pickup, but is another combo guard like West and leaves the Cavs with a size disadvantage in the back court.

Its not like its hard to build a contender around LeBron. You can take all the combo scoring guards like Mo Williams that no one wants because LeBron can play point. Yet Ferry has added little else besides a couple of those combo guards no other team wanted.

What is impressive is that even though we have a very thin backcourt to go along with Varejao and Z as our starters, we were able to win 66 games last season.. Now with the addition of Shaq? Who knows how far that will take us this upcoming.. Better yet, we aren't even done making moves.

Stupid wiretap, just another example of why the media aren't any better than mid-low-range-IQ-fans, these 'journalists' just jump on whatever makes a headline, no credibility and no different to Mark Jackson trying to commentate :o

There are two legitimate criticisms about the Cavs today. One is they really should be playing a faster paced offense to maximize LeBron's talents. The second is there is no one of significant value on the current roster besides LeBron. Mo is an above average guard who unfortunately wilted in his first clutch series. Perhaps that will change in the future. AJ is a good role player for certain teams.

The Cavs choose to win early with veterans and now they are paying the price. If they decided to get young early then they wouldn't have been in the championship series or the conference finals. Cavs probably should have tried a more middle ground approach.

Whatever happens, I hope LeBron can get a faster paced offense to play with in 2010/2011 whether its Cleveland or someplace else. His talent should be maximized.

This article is so dumb.

LeBron was able to get a taste for winning early and often his career. He learned what it takes to win games and he learned how to approach end of games. He learned that he has to be more aggressive.

Meanwhile Kevin Durant has won 43 games in two seasons. What is he learning? He hasn't even got a taste of being in the hunt for the playoffs let alone playing in the completely foreign atmosphere that is the NBA playoffs. Kevin Durant is going to be a 24 year old just getting to the playoffs and getting smoked in the first round because of lack of experience for him and his team. He will be a 26 year old before he learns how to win in the postseason.

Yes such a shame the Cavs could only make the Finals once and put together a 66 win roster :o

It doesn't get much better than the chemistry Cleveland have, you can't buy that, and it will bring the ultimate reward very soon. This journey is much like Jordan's which culminated with his first ring in 1991. It didn't come from talent, but chemistry :D
