I really like the plan
If Kahns intention was to start a bidding war for Rubios services, I think he did a great job. Rubio is going to net minni more than Foye and Miller. Rubio is going to get what he wants, and minni is going to get what it wants.
Clearly, as a Knick fan, I would love to package Lee and Chandler in a S and T for him, but surely Minni can do a little better. Kahn can possibly fleece someone pretty hard.
Imagine getting Cook and Beasley out of Miami for something like rights to rubio and Gomes.
My take is a trade will be done in a month or so when teams have time to bid against one another. No way minni is going to just hand Rubio to one of his choice teams.
Looks like Kahn cashed out on all the smoke screens.

I think Beasley has a problem with the weather like Rubio

Minnesota is NOT looking to trade Rubio!

I feel your trying to make some sort of a point? It could you make it a little more clear what that point is?

I was thinking about trying to change it to 600 point font, but I didn't want to be too obnoxious.

Right, but if the right offer came along, do you think Rubio would be out of here in a flash? I would strongly consider a package based around Beasley. If we ended up becoming a running team, having four players that can run the floor would be terrific.

Kahn isn't dumb, he is still answering his phone but he isn't actively shopping him. If he is offered a trade that he feels make the wolves better he isn't going to pass it up cause he just wants to sit on Rubio. Let leave those trade offer to the teams cause on the Wolves board we are sick of hearing them. Lets face is we aren't Realgms ourselves.

I don't mind hearing trade ideas, just not when every trade idea is the knicks or clippers fans trying to pawn off garbage for talent, and then hearing morons bitch about how we "overvalue" Rubio, Love, Jefferson, etc.

Beasley? Im not sure i want another PF who showed very little promise as a SF. MAYBE if Rubio flat out refused to play here.

I hope that Rubio signs and plays in Minny. I REALLY see both he and Flynn totally happy with asking eachother, who is bringing up the ball?
I can't remember that last YOUNG guard tandem to succeed. This will be the first!!!
But this can work and I believe that Kaun is a genius. Making the playoffs will be a guaranteed.

Re: I really like the plan
It's a really good sign that they turned down the Knicks' "offer", and wouldn't take Battier and Brooks for Rubio either.
I think they'll hold out for a star level SG or SF and if they can't get it (and I don't think they will) then Rubio will stay a Wolf.
The only thing that would be a tough call, IMO, is if we got an offer of a couple of very solid starters at the 2 and 3, and 1-2 future 1sts. Hard to say no to that, even if there are no star level players coming on...
Problem is, teams wanting to trade for Rubio aren't expecting him to be outlandish right away, so most teams might be hesitant to give away future picks.

there is a problem in your post.
you mention Beasley as another "PF" but then you contradicted your statement by saying "very little promise as a SF"
Beasley is not a SF. He is a PF. By the way, Beasley only played as an SF for the heat 7 times the whole year, and even when he played as an SF, it's only like 5-10 minute spurts. He has not played as an SF for Miami for an entire game. I have been following and recording heat games since 2005 so I know this for a fact.
If Beasley ever plays for wolves as a PF, he will be your leading scorer. Dude's got offensive talent. Just don't expect him to play defense.

Re: I really like the plan
I didnt contradict anything. We dont need a 3rd young PF. We have a 20/10 PF and potentially a 10/10 PF at worst. There were talks among this board and elsewhere of Beasley perhaps being used as a SF, which is likely what he would project if he were here.
And its not so much him being labeled as a SF on the depth chart so much as it was watching him attempt to be a face up slasher, shooting, etc. Im not gonna give up Rubio at a position of need for a guy who would either be redundant at PF or ineffective at SF.

Ah now that explains it.
Point taken.
But, don't worry about wolves giving rubio for beasley. not in pat riley's dreams. the dude turned down the 2nd overall pick from grizzlies because grizzlies wanted beasley.
and if you check riley's past, he doesn't really acquire players from europe.
and it's true that you guys have 2 PFs in jefferson and love machine. sf is your problem and beasley is no way in hell an sf and i am a big beasley fan

Knicks fan and I'll give my unbiased opinion regarding what you just said. There is no way that playing Flynn and Rubio in the backcourt is a good idea. I love both players btw, but as PG's. Kahn is just trying to get Rubio's value up. I saw an article about how many GM's were asked about playing both guys and NONE of them bought that.
You don't take a potentially great pg like Flynn and move him to an undersized SG role. It's just not his strength. It's a huge difference shooting from the pg position or doing it from the sg position (just ask Mr. Holiday who slid). Also, remember, he played zone in college and though he can defend some it's going to take him time to learn and as a SG he will get posted up all day and will not (yet) have the strength to defend. I think Flynn will just have too much pressure on him and he is such a good kid. If I was Minny I'd clear this mess up quick. Trade Rubio, get what you can for him and play Flynn who wants to play here.
I'd love to have Rubio on the Knicks, but if Lebron comes to NY I think a pg who can shoot better would be better. Anyway, I think a S&T of Lee with Chandler might be close to what you can get. I doubt Miami does Beasly, though there is a small chance. I am excited to see Rubio at the NBA level though.

Hey bro, one thing about people and judgement, don't lump us all together. It's like teachers, if you think you know what is best for you, you will allow most to pass and miss what you really need. You can spot those types of people as they are close minded and the seem to "know" so much from very distant/past experiences. Life becomes predictable and narrow.
I was being honest, but you never got to see that. If you ever read any of my posts you would know that or at least be open...
Best of luck to you,
EMS
