Boozer wants 5 yr $80 from Detroit...

Post#1 » by bstein14 » Tue Jun 30, 2009 3:50 am

According to a media personality who's close to Dumars, Boozer wants $80 million over 5 years to opt out and come to Detroit.

Needless to say, Dumars told him he not to opt out because he wasn't paying that.

1 $13,793,103
2 $14,896,552
3 $16,000,000
4 $17,103,448
5 $18,206,897

LMAO! He wants what Brand got. It actually makes sense. The only problem is nobody will offer him that much.

I'm sure teams know he wants that much, and that won't help his trade value.

Kind of sucks for the Jazz, but it looks like he might play out one more year and go to the highest bidder next summer when teams strike out on big names and need a good consolation prize.

That is what seems most likely to happen.

He is such a loozer. Boozer is only about Boozer and every team knows that. I pray he opts out bc I do not want him on the Jazz next year period.

Even if he doesn't opt out, the jazz could still trade him to detroit and match Milsap.

Wow...

I'm starting to wonder if we could pull off a sign and trade with Boozer to Detroit. I guess if we matched their offer they will probably make to Paul then its possible but I don't know how interested they would be in renting Boozer except maybe to free up even more cap space for next year.

What a **** tool. Players only get that if they have a complete game. Booz is an offense only big that shows up when he wants. Good luck Carlos

$80 for 5 years seems like a hell of a deal....or did you mean 80 million dollars?

Imagine how much he'd asked for if he actually played both ends of the court!!!

Basically wants what Elton Brand signed for. The final year of Elton's contract is a player option, if Detroit offers him this contract they should only do it if the final year is a team option.

Detroit should agree to give it to him, and then when he officially opts out they can say "What deal? There was no deal? That would be illegal?" and then watch Boozer take the MLE from somewhere.

I am okay with Brand getting that but not Boozer. Brand is better than Boozer.
