I would like that scenario. We can wait on Millsap, and based on that Boozer will become a very nice trade chip this season if necessary.

what do you mean "wait on millsap"? the thunder will offer $9-10mm for millsap next season, and the jazz won't match that offer.

The Thunder "could" offer Millsap a contract that large...maybe even larger, but it doesn't mean they will. I think with them being somewhat of an upstart organization there in OKC, they aren't going to throw a ton of money at Millsap. I think they will offer a fair value between 6-8 million a year, which the Jazz will match.
I guess we will see....

Re: All Opting In?
How much money does Memphis have again? I know OKC and Detroit have the firepower to take him away from us but there hasn't been much talk about Memphis.
Memo has said he is willing to take a pay cut, wonder how much of one he is going to be willing to take...maybe we can sign Hedo to keep him happy and resign him for a 5 year, 5 million. *sarcasm*

I think OKC will try and stick it to us. They tried to sign C.J. last year and we matched, making them wait until we did so. This year they know we are going to be financially strapped, they have the advantage. If they offer a front loaded contract, Millsap is as good as gone.

I hardly think OKC's motives will be to screw over the Jazz. They'll make decisions they think are best for their franchise.

Doesn't mean they cant screw us in the process of trying to making themselves better, I will never forgive them for the C.J contract unless he turns super star next season.
At least he isn't going to the Lakers, Rockets, or the Nuggets...just an up and coming division rival that's all.

Forgive them for CJ's contract? No one forced the Jazz to sign that deal.

Re: All Opting In?
8 minutes to the deadline and I thought I'd make my predictions.
Korver opts in (duh)
Boozer opts in - Just not enough dollars out there.
Okur works out an extention or resigning with the Jazz for around 8-9mil per.
Millsap gets an offer that the Jazz decide to not match (should be a while til we know)

"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Re: All Opting In?
Memo's agent was in town today discussing an extension. If you were the Jazz what would you offer?
