Why in the world would you trade for Collison and lose Millsap and a 1st round pick? Thanks but no thanks. I would like to see the Jazz pursue Bass though if we lose Millsap.

I think people should remember that this is what OKC "CAN" offer Millsap, but it doesn't meant they will. Seriously, for an upstart team like OKC to pay someone a contract like that would be the most crippling thing their organization could do. I dont see it happening.

I think the bigger danger for OKC in signing someone like Millsap is what it means for their other young players. If this goes through you've got Millsap making 2-3x what Durant et al make. And eventually those kids will grow out of their rookie scale contracts and want to be compensated accordingly.
