Marcus Camby

Warriors fan here!!

Okay no need to chop my head off but how serious are you guys to letting Camby go?

The warriors definitely need help down low and yeah trading within conferences may be bad but we both need to get better and I think we may have the pieces to solidify you bench.

I know that the contracts may not work out properly since our young wings make little to no money while camby makes a ton but who do you guys think would be a fair deal for camby. If it were up to me I would give up a combination of maggs and bellinelli.

but realistically this would be more a better trade.

Azubuike + Wright, the only thing is that we would need a way around getting you buike since you guys offered him money last year so we would have to find a way around that.

Azubuike/Wright might make sense come January if the Clips are out of playoff contention by then.

What if the Suns offer you Ben Wallace contract (possible buyout) and Blake's brother for Marcus Camby??

Suns would have to offer a whole lot more incentive to swap Camby for Ben Wallace.

No way, both have one year remaining on their contract and Camby is alot better.

With the pending trade of Randolph to Memphis and OKC looking to sign Millsap. How about a deal of Collison and Watson for Camby.Gives you a double double big in Collison off the bench to backup both Griffin and Kaman and solid backup expiring point in Watson.OKC replace Collison with Millsap and add defensive big in Camby.Your thoughts?

I'd rather just keep Camby and his contract than to trade for that.

I like Camby's experience and attitude, he's a great mentor for our young big men. With that said I don't want Camby traded.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

As much as I like Camby's play, I do remember grumblings out of Denver about his off-court attitude and his unwillingness to come off the bench. Regardless, he's a valuable trade asset and I agree we should hold out for the right deal.

I'd love to send him to the Rockets for Shane Battier. I'd even throw them Thornton to make it work. Something like MC + AT for SB and one of their young bigs. Doubt it would entice them as they've done a good job managing salaries but we could definitely use a glue guy/defensive presence.

I think this is a fair trade certainly in terms of talent being exchanged, but I don't know that the Clippers would be interested in trading Camby just yet given the fact that the Clippers would be left with only oft injured Kaman and inexperienced DJ to play C if he is traded. I think Azubuike could be traded to the Clippers after 1 year from the date of signing his offer sheet so this could happen sometime late this month. Would the Warriors have any interest in Kaman?

The Clippers wouldn't be interested in adding salary like that. Collison doesn't expire this season and Watson really isn't needed since he is an expensive backup PG and probably isn't better than Mike Taylor for the position. They would rather just play Camby for this season since he is at a position they need. They could also get a better offer if they are looking to move him.
