Of the big $ RFA guys, Lee is looking to be the most likely. Z'Bo through trade - gah, but still being pursued. Charlie Villanueva as the big name UFA.

Thoughts on Channing Frye? He's big, athletic, skilled and a potential steal. He's not the most physical big man out there, but with Marc and Hasheem anchoring the center position, it could work. He reminds me a lot like the man starting in front of him, LaMarcus Aldridge. He can run the floor and hit the open 17 foot jump shot with ease. He would really need to improve his rebounding though.

Hi guys. I haven't abandoned you but have been very busy since last thursday(missed the draft). I was kind of shocked, like most I assume, that they took Thabeet but it's done and time to move forward.

I read where Heisley really wants a power forward this summer and the criteria is young and productive at a reasonable price. Wouldn't every team want that? So in looking at the usual suspects I don't expect Boozer or Odom to be in the mix. I read where OKC is thinking about a big offer for Milsap so Heisley wouldn't get into that bidding war. Charlie Villieneuva is a distinct possibility but I don't like the fit since he is more of a perimiter offensive player that would clash for sure with Mayo and Gay. Bass perhaps but his agent says he's looking for the MLE so Dallas can bring him back. Glen Davis is still a possibility but I believe Memphis would need to overpay for Boston not to match, and I don't know if Heisley would do that.I think it's beginning to point to David Lee in my opinion. One of the top double double power forwards in the league he fits the criteria for what the Grizzlies are looking for.

As for trades, aside from Randolph I don't think there's really a good trade out there. How many teams are willing to part with their productive young, and still on their rookie contract power forward? Not many I bet. And if it comes down to second tier power forwards my hunch is that they'll hold onto the money and go into next season the same way they did last season and try to figure things out as they go.

And I bet they fully realize that next years draft is more top heavy in quality power forwards than this one.

It's a tough call to figure out what they will do. Like the draft I really don't know what will happen.

Trade for Tyrus Thomas.

Tyrus and Hasheem, shotblocking machines.

I like the Al Horford idea for a center. I don't know how realistic it is, but from an outsider's perspective it seems reasonable. I think he would be an excellent fit with the Grizz, especially if you can some how keep Gasol and trade Hasheem. If recent rumors about Rasheed Wallace to the Celtics are true, then Baby might be had cheaper than you think. Another thing to consider is Leon Powe. He is a great low-post player, a free agent, and could be had at a serious discount if you can wait for him to recover from his knee injury.

I love the idea of Al Horford at PF along side Marc Gasol or Thabeet. IMO Horford's been miscast in the NBA (through the need of the Hawks) as a center. If he ever gets in a situation where he's a full time 4, he'll really take off. Atlanta's not parting with him though - at least not while he's still on his rookie scale.

David Lee.

No way the Knicks will match a good offer.

Craig Smith is cheap, and is a bull in a china shop. With the glut of PF's that the Wolves have, he could be traded pretty easily.

Interesting deal, but pass.

So it looks like Okur and Boozer are staying in Utah for another season.

I ask you Chris Wallace, DO IT.

I don't even have to mention the name.

Frye is about as cream puff a player as you can get. He's athletic-ish but doesn't really use it. He's somewhat skilled but almost always just settles for a jumpshot. So you'd basically be paying for a 6'11" jumpshooter who, when his shot isn't falling (and it's been eratic so far in his career) is pretty much useless.

Turns out the answer was Zach Randolph. Congrats on your new PF.
