Wiretap says that DARYL MOREY could be interested in a trade with NY involving Tracy McGrady for Curry & Mobley!

Looks like Morey is desperate for cap relief. Curry has a horrible contract, but it looks like there's no way around it. I mean no one's going to take Tracy McGrady, and Morey is running out of options. This move might be inevitable if he wants resign Artest and sign Gortat.

But damn, I hope Morey doesn't accept this deal. Trade McGrady for anyone but Eddy f*ckin Curry.

I'd rather have McGrady at center than Curry. I know the need for a center has greatly increased recently but damn that's a bad deal.

The actual quote in the article is:
Would Rockets GM Daryl Morey consider Eddy Curry in a deal for McGrady? I'm told that would be a conversation starter. Perhaps Curry ($10.5M) and Cuttino Mobely ($9M, 80 percent insured) would be worthwhile for the Rockets.

Note the word Perhaps before the word Curry => look like simply writer's speculation to me.

And a conversation starter can lead to so many things such as:
- Nope no deal!
- What an insult, you can bring better package than that!
- .....you guys can continue this...

The Knicks must send extra for this deal to be realistic. Maybe what they get from a David Lee S and T plus a future pick and Wilson Chandler. Then I think it could happen. For the Knicks it would be a coup to get rid of the guy. They'd have a clean cap outside of Jeffries.

I know that the Rox need another big but is Morey that desperate?? o.O He could do much better than that muhaha. But seriously, Curry's only contribution (aside from eating) is on the offensive end. Knicks fans (most of them anyway) know that Curry doesn't carry much 'weight' when it comes to rebounding, defending/shot-blocking. You're better off with Gortat and T-Mac. E-Curry needs to seriously prove himself this season for the Knicks (if not for that next contract anyway)

Well thats a relief. Idk how I missed that. I guess I just skimmed through it cuz I was drinking! I still wanted to discuss it. Its sad really, cuz I would rather start Hayes at Center all year than Eddy Curry. :lol:

Guys, this is Alan Hahn. He just picks up what fans tell him and calls it "sources". He responds to fans emails and that's where he gets his ideas from. I'm also sure he reads Knicks board here on RealGM, because a lot of times exact same ideas come up in his blog after someone made a thread about it here.
