I saw this gem today, I'm not sure if it has been posted elsewhere,

Ricky Rubio has filed a lawsuit against his DKV Joventut team in Spain in efforts to alleviate his $6.6 million buyout.
DKU Joventut president Jordi Villacampa said they will not negotiate about Rubio's future unless he drops the lawsuit. "We will not talk about anything until that occurs," Villacampa said. Rubio said, "This issue has been taken to the extreme, but it is not as serious as people think." If Rubio's buyout were somehow eliminated, it would probably clear the way for him to be dealt by the Timberwolves and to play in the NBA next season. Jun. 30 - 12:54 pm et

It's from Rotoworld, but their source is Shooter. So we all know what that means.

I'm pretty sure this news is way old, but this was the part that got me:

it would probably clear the way for him to be dealt by the Timberwolves and to play in the NBA next season.

Face. F*cking. Palm.

Seriously, just spend an extra 2 minutes doing some research.

That's just his opinion. "It would PROBABLY clear the way for him to be dealt" sounds more like his opinion, and he doesn't say anything about Kahn mentioning that.

Right, but he could have worded it much more neutrally, like "it would probably clear the way for him play in the NBA next season." Why does this hack have to add in the extra trade BS?

Because he's a douche, who is just jumping on the bandwagon that Rubio hates Minny and won't play here even though he has personally said no such thing.

In a Sports Radio Show yesterday night Real Madrid GM (jorge Valdano) stated that they have no interest in Ricky Rubio, he also said that they did talk about Rubio a month or so ago with his agent but there were too many finantial problems.
So lets recapitulate...Madrid has no interest, Ricky stated himself that he doesnt want to play for any other team but Juventut and Juventut says that if he is suing the team he will not play for them.
Juventut is more interested in the buyout money than in Ricky playing another year or two with them.
In my opinion he is going to play for the Wolves next year.

that'd be great if he'd play for the Wolves, we freakin need him dammit, here we are reaching out to Ricky Rubio and he's playing hard to get like some sort of high class Spanish teen idol. Get over here to miserable Minnesota pronto, it's so freakin cold and small, but there's nothing better than delicious snow tacos with shaved ice for dessert.

Efes Pilsen's GM stated that they didn't make the reported offer to Rubio. He said that Rubio and his agents made the proposal to them that they could have Ricky for a year at $1 million net plus paying half his buyout. The Efes GM said the club turned that down and that the reports from Rubio's camp that Efes went after Rubio and that he then turned them down are false.

Rubio is even starting to burn bridges in Europe.

So Rubio will have to take the Wolves offer this year, as otherwise he could be stuck with a huge buyout payment and no money to pay it off with.

Nice job, Fegan. :D

He can either play with the wolves and make some money or stay in Europe without a team to play with, IMO.

Let's save our elation/bragging for when we get him here. I'm anticipating some sputtering from some other teams' fans at that point though. I'm sure he'll suddenly become the worst player in the draft after he signs a timberwolves contract.
