babyjax13 wrote:The Bobcats and Nuggets have agreed to two separate trades (they are NOT dependent on each other, just posting on one post to make it easier).

Trade 1:

Nuggets trade/Bobcats receive:

Anthony Johnson $2,062,800
Dahntay Jones $1,200,000
Chris Quinn $825,497
Sonny Weems $736,420
Total: $4,824,717 x 1.25 = $6,030,896

Bobcats trade/Nuggets receive:

Francisco Garcia $5,800,000

Why the Nuggets do it:
Our backup small forward position is pretty weak and this trade gives us some more depth off the bench. I really liked Johnson and Quinn as my backup point guards, and Jones as my backup shooting guard, but I signed Antoine Wright, so one of he and Jones had to go.

Trade 2:

Nuggets Trade/Bobcats receive:
Cap Space (using $5.67 million TE)

Bobcats Trade/Nuggets receive:
Rafer Alston $5,250,000

This is exactly what trade exceptions are for, finding guys who are buried on another team's bench and making a trade that gives you depth and a boost in talent. It puts us WAY over the tax this year (which hurts), but next year when we have to resign him, O'neil, Smith and Mason we won't be nearly as far over (especially after Gadz expires). Our bench of Alston-Stuckey-Garcia-Smith-Perkins should be good enough to give us a shot at the title this year.

Charlotte still needs to accept

Indiana accepts, we shed some money in the long term off of Millsap's deal and pick up a player that's an arguable better fit with our system and youth movement, that can be a playoff threat in the current and contender in the future. The average age of my starting lineup would be an exact 24.1 years old.

The Indiana Pacers and Charlotte Bobcats have agreed upon a new revision of the previous deal.

CHA OUTGOING
Ridnour 6,500,000, Najera 3,000,000, Rondo 2,094,922, Rush 1,934,160 = 13,529,082 X 1.25 = 16,911,352 + 100,000 = $17,011,352

CHA INCOMING
Andre Iguodala: $12,200,000 + Hilton Armstrong $2,801,198 + Jordan Farmar $1,947,240 = $16,948,438.

IND OUTGOING
Andre Iguodala: $12,200,000 + Hilton Armstrong $2,801,198 + Jordan Farmar $1,947,240 = $16,948,438 X 1.25 = 21,185,547 + 100,000 = 21,285,547

IND INCOMING
Ridnour 6,500,000, Najera 3,000,000, Rondo 9,809,570, Rush 1,934,160 = $21,243,730

We've also agreed upon a second follow up trade, which follows immediately after the first.

Charlotte trades Rafer Alston ($5,250,000) in exchange for Andre Miller ($5,848,000). Deal works.

We've also agreed upon a third part of the deal in which:

Charlotte trades Hilton Armstrong ($2,801,198) in exchange for Eduardo Najera (3,000,000). Deal Works obviously.

*If this last deal doesn't count, I guess that's OK, but it'd be used as a separate trade.

So overall the deal becomes, Indiana sends Andre Iguodala, Jordan Farmar, and Andre Miller in exchange for Rajon Rondo, Brandon Rush, Rafer Alston, and Luke Ridnour.

We BOTH would like to apologize to the Denver Nuggets that the Charlotte Bobcats will cancel his previous deal with the Nuggets. But I'd be glad to swap Rafer for the TE, so hopefully all sides stay happy and the deals stay as is. Again sorry for the inconvenience and hopefully it doesn't create too much tension or tribulations.

Charlotte accepts the Garcia deal with Denver. We have a ungodly amount of wings and this deal helps us clear the logjam.

Charlotte accepts the deal with Indiana. See reasoning above.

If there's a need for a more official trade, the Indiana Pacers and Denver Nuggets have HOPEFULLY agreed upon a trade.

Indiana sends Rafer Alston ($5,250,000) and a 2015 2nd in exchange for a TE created by the capspace the Denver Nuggets possess (using $5.67 million TE).

Indiana accepts, basically to make up to the Nuggets in the deals acceptance got delayed, thus an additional 2015 2nd. :D

Edit - haha, just saw your post babyjax, nice, glad it all worked out, lol.

The Charlotte Bobcats and Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to a trade:

The Bobcats will send:
Nene - 10,520,000
Jeff Green - 3,516,960
CJ Miles - 3,700,000
Dahntay Jones - 1,080,000
= 18,816,960 x 1.25 = 23521200

The Cavaliers will send:
Pau Gasol - 16,452,000
Chris Duhon - 6,031,800
= $22,483,800

While we hate to lose Jeff Green and Nene, we're excited to add a player of Gasol's caliber to our team.

The Cavs accept. We had too many PGs and not enough wing depth. This deal helps in both areas. While we take a slight talent hit in the post, we offset that by getting younger and cheaper there, cutting about 6 million dollars and getting about 2 years younger. We also feel Nene will better complement KG

Due to a lack of playing time, Eddy Curry elects to decline his player option and Jared Jeffries chooses to opt out of his final year. Both are looking for more minutes.

Hey, it was worth a shot......
