Two trades that Suns must do

Post#1 » by statisback » Wed Jul 1, 2009 9:34 pm

Pistons are looking to trade RIP Hamilton.

How about JRich for Hamilton?

2nd trade: Trade Ben Wallace and future pick for Tyson Chandler.

Suns lineup:
PG Nash, Dragic
SG Hamilton, Barbosa
C Chandler, Lopez
PF Stoudemire, Admunson, Clark
SF Hill, Dudley, Clark

How about Kobe for Amundson when we are already at it? We are all getting desperate and frustrated with Suns becouse of recent events, it would obviously be great if we could pul that off, but even just Chandler trade would do it for me right now.

The trouble with trade ideas: most people don't think of what the OTHER team gets out of a trade. Case in point, what does Detroit get out of obtaining JRich? The only reason they'd likely trade Rip Hamilton is because they're looking to sign Ben Gordon. So trading away Rip Hamilton for another shooting guard still causes a conflict with Ben Gordon.

Are you implying that Rip is equivalent to Kobe
and JRich to Admunson

J Rich can play SF too so it may be something they decide to do.

I believe also the fact that Rip is unhappy in Detroit may have another reason to move him and his 5 year contract for a 2 year contract.

They have similar %s, neither of them are known for amazing defense, but JRich is faster, younger, jumps higher, and rebounds better.

True, you got me on his contract. However, I think the main reason Rip was unhappy in Detroit was just fired yesterday. He's still pouty about Billups being traded, but he'll get over it.

Hmm... Not really it was kinda meant to be sarcastic comment if you didn't get it. But it is just unrealistic to trade those two guys, I mean Pistons aren't stupid, well maybe I'am just overrating Rip and uderatig J-rich but honestly I think those two are not on the same level, not even from a mental point and their approach to the game on their commitment. What can I say I just really like Rip and what he brings to the team.

Suns only 'must' do one of two things. go hard or go home

Hard = get Chandler, re-sign Hill, Amare, Nash, get 1-2 strong pieces (QRoss, Wilcox) and RUN
Home = move Amare, Nash for youth, JRich for scrap, sign young FAs who might develop, move RoLo for the OK pick

If we get Chandler, can we re-sign Amare, Hill, and Nash and have cap room in 2011 when J-Rich and Chandler expire?

GO HARD!!! I'm always in it to win it. I don't want to be trash if we don't have to be, and we don't have to be!!! Not by a mile. Amare, LB, JRich, Clark, Dragic, Lopez, Dudley,Lou are all young guys!!! Get 26 yr old Chandler and role. Tell Sarver he can't be a tight ARSE. He cannot take his money with him, ask Michael Jackson. Spend it and enjoy the NOW!!!! Who's with me??

I'd love that lineup, ecspecially for the defense, TC could pertect Amare down low and RIP is a better all around player than J-Rich... Suns VP Dave Griffin said Amare will be a Sun on 910 am radio in PHX today, whether that's true or not i'd love that lineup :D

Hamilton would be awesome except for the fact that they're looking to trade him for a big now that they signed Gordon and CV.

I would take Rip over JRich, without a second thought. Much smarter player, tougher competitor, clutch guy

I've seen this posted a few times. Do people actually htink this could happen? I mean if this really is an option why hasn't it been done? If they are looking to contend certainly they won't have Lopez on the court much and if they're looking to rebuild then any 1st round pick next year has more value than Lopez.

I just don't see why the Thunder would have any intrest in trading a probable lottery pick for Lopez.

ha, I don't see any reason OK would do it...but knowing us, it'll happen, and they'll make the playoffs
