I hope to attend the summer league this summer, it was a great experience last year.

Kevinn Pinkney will play for the Los Angeles Clippers in the upcoming NBA Summer League.

The former Wolf Pack star just got back after playing professionally in Italy.

Pinkney has played for both the Hawks and the Trail Blazers summer league teams. He also played a couple of regular-season games with the Boston Celtics back in 2007.

Pinkney played four years at Nevada, helping the Pack reach the Sweet 16 his junior season. At the time of his graduation, he was the winningest player in school history.

KOLOTV

Notre Dame's Kyle McAlarney to be on roster
But waiting out flight delays, missing connections and stomaching bad room service might be worth it for McAlarney, who already has an invitation to join the summer league squad of the Los Angeles Clippers next month in Las Vegas.

"It's a huge relief to know that I have a spot," he said.

McAlarney arguably was the best guard on the court playing with some European hopefuls in a workout earlier this month with the Milwaukee Bucks. He also held his own — and maybe opened some eyes — in Sacramento last week while auditioning with a group of guards that included former Syracuse guard Jonny Flynn, UCLA's Jrue Holiday and European import Brandon Jennings, all of whom were first-round picks Thursday.

"My workouts have gone really well," McAlarney said. "I've done everything I could have done. I think I've been able to thrive in those situations."

I wouldn't mind having a Taylor/Gordon/Thornton/Griffin/Jordan starting lineup in the regular season.

Wow. Our starting 5 is just straight out sick. No reason why we shouldn't be able to go undefeated with that lineup we're putting out there. It should be fun to see our young guns meshing together and building chemistry for next season.

This starting lineup is scary good for a SL team. This is going to be fun to watch.

That's a great starting 5, it even might be able to work in an NBA game. Do we have anyone else on our summer league roster?

Here's the entire roster: http://www.nba.com/clippers/news/summer ... ter09.html

Al Thornton is not playing. Comes as a surprise to me. However, Dionte Christmas is playing on our team!

That's a sexy starting 5 (well maybe 4 since Thornton's not playing). Great core of young talent we have going. Hopefully Jordan can have some more impressive dunks like he had last year.
But man, Daniel Ewing just can't catch a break. He was with the Raptors SL team last year, and now he's with the Grizz?. Ultimately, he will forever be known for letting Raja Bell bust that 3 right in his face in that pivotal playoff series a few years ago.

Pretty nice young core right there. :) I'll be looking forward to watching these online again. I miss Clipper basketball, no matter how crappy we play.

Nice work ClipperDomination, nice to see Dionte Christmas on our team. Too bad Thornton isn't playing in the SL this year.

Props on posting the official roster CD. I'm surprised to see Christmas on our roster since I thought he was going to Philly. It's kind of weird that Thornton isn't on the roster, but we still have one of the best rosters this summer that should be able to win and be exciting to watch as well.

I read a "translated" article about him earlier today and it was saying that he wants to come over and have a fresh start, but FIBA prohibits a player currently under contract (with a European team) to play for an NBA team in Summer League.

Last paragraph at sportaction.gr mentions this in Greek.
