That's what I thought, too. Looks like we were both wrong. He's not opting out.

Neither is Kobe.

Darn. Smart move I guess.

With the current economy, I hope Artest's value drop.

Nice ploy by Morey. Now there's a chance Gortat signs with us for the LLE.
Get it done, Morey!

Come on, Guy986, jove9, vator and the rest - we're doing our part - get those emails out to rocketsfanslovegortat@gmail.com and show Gortat that Houston is where it's at!

(man....I'm way too excited about free agent season...)

Last off season, the surprise overpaid player was Beno Udrih who got the full MLE from Sacramento. The season before, it was Rashard Lewis who got $100 million from Orlando.

Who will it be this summer?

Will it be Gortat? And will it be from us?

What are your predictions?

We can't offer him anything more than the MLE, which is already overpaying. But I won't be surprised if some team offers him more than the MLE.

The New York Knicks
The Los Angeles Clippers
The Memphis Grizzlies

What do they have in common? They have proven that Zach Randolph is, in fact, not untradeable.

Good luck, Memphis!

It was a close race between the two worst franchises: Memphis Grizzlies and LA Clippers. Today, Chris Wallace went 1-up against his close rival Donald Sterling and crowned himself the worst GM in NBA.

I still can't believe that they actually got an expiring contract who can actually contribute for Z-Bo.

I don't know about the rest of you, but the idea of Randolph and Iverson playing on the same team would just be too freaking awesome for words. They'd need to make a reality TV show out of the Grizzlies season if that were the case!
