Good because I don't want him. In a seven games series Odom is a lock to play decent in 1.5 games. Let LA keep him.

I think he might end up with the Spurs if they lose out on Rasheed. If that happens I hope our visiting friends from LA don't become glum.

We don't want Odom, trust me. <---- That was a Gary Tanguay. But seriously we don't want him.

Odom goes to the losers of the Turk sweepstakes, Portland.

Re: Stealing Lamar Odom - our chances?
acquiring Lamar is dumb in my opinion. he'd be backing up the 3 and 4 positions.... which is where we have most of our talent. why would we bolster that even more? he'd play 20 mins a game behind PP and KG getting paid more than 2 of our starters.... while we'd have nothing backing up the 5 spot.
This is even dumber if we sign sheed. Wallace is not content backing up perk fr 18 minutes a game. He needs to backup KG as well, netting him the 30 a game he deserves at his income and skill level.
If we bring in Wallace, all we need is a couple stiffs like Robert Swift and Mikki Moore on the bench as disaster insurance. Perk, KG, Wallace, Scal, stiff 1, stiff 2 should suffice as a big man rotation. That way you actually have leftover money to resign Marbury and pick up a decent backup wing that primarily defends the 3.

There are Boston fans who know what they are talking about.
I highly doubt Odom would go to the Celtics.
07-08 Lakers not at full health
08-09 Celtics not at full health.
For the sake of basketball, I hope both teams are healthy in June playing each other in a 7 game series.

Amen to that. Bring on the 09-10 season!

Re: Stealing Lamar Odom - our chances?
um... the 08-09 celtics were missing the reigning defensive player of the year AND his backup
the 07-08 lakers were missing a 21 yr old backup....
absolutely no comparison.

I do NOT think we'll be seeing Odom in green. Ariza is on his way out, so the Lakers will sign Lamar.
Plus, after losing to Boston, I doubt he'll win a title with LA and then go and sign with the Celtics.
