I don't see how he nixes any deals...

While not a top level player, he's definitely good enough to not be considered just a throw in.

Just wanted to point out that Przybilla is a great fit for POR, so no reason to move him, and Etan couldn't be combined in a trade anyway. I suppose you might be able to work something out in simultaneous trades, but I personally would just forget about that part.

I still haven't decided how I feel about the rest. Every time I hear about Flynn, the player they compare him to for upside is Chris Paul. Now, I'm sure his chances of getting there are slim, but MIN is in a position right now to gamble for the big wins. They aren't winning in 2009 anyway, so roster-balancing should take a backseat to trying to add talent to the team. However, I have a lot of respect for Rudy though, so I'm on the fence.

That is funny, but ATL still has Childress's rights.

I know this thread is dead, but...

Rudy is not overvalued. Anybody that says that he is just hasn't seen him play. I guess that can be said for a lot of players, but unless you are a fan of a particular team, or you just happen to watch 60 or 70 games a years for every single team in the NBA, you don't really know how the players play.

Watching Rudy play, it's pretty obvious that he's going to be an all-star. Same with Bayless. There is something special about them that will take a few years to show up in the stats.

The same can't be said for Outlaw, Webster, Blake, and some others that Portland has, who are pretty good players and may even have potential, but won't become 40-minute starters.

Portland's untouchables are Roy, Aldridge, Rudy and Bayless in my mind. If Pritchard knows what he's doing (and he does), you will not see any of these players leave the organization save for a HUMONGOUS deal in Portland's favor, or some sort of freak injury.
