Re: Millsap
Well...I liked Millsap from the start,he's one Jazz player I wanted to see GSW trade for but now I can't see that happening. $10mill? Seems high, but not by a lot. I expect that in general, the salarys will be down 10-20% from years past.
CENSORED... No comment.

Re: Millsap
If Milsap was going to get a big offer from OKC it would have happened already. Charlie Vill's contract was a market setter in a sense (5yrs/ $40M). He, David Lee and Milsap are all similar players.....kind of second tier power forwards... guys with upside but not top tier upside.
I don't think Presti (OKC GM) is an idiot, he doesn't want to overpay because it cripples you. Milsap is a nice get but not a franchise changer. He is worth the risk for them but now that Charlie got $8M per to Detroit, and Memphis took themselves out of the running it is now only Portland with cap space and they are going to get Turkoglu. So, David Lee has NY and OKC as teams who can pay him more than Mid-level, and Milsap only has Utah and OKC that can pay him over Mid-level money.
Presti will probably offer slightly more money than Mid-Level and hope he gets one of them. I think the two moves of Z-Bo to Memphis, and C. Vill to Detroit make it unlikely that Milsap with get more than $8M per. The offer from the Knicks will be about as much as Lee will get and the same goes for Milsap.
I think this bodes well for the Jazz. I think the Jazz will end up signing Milsap now for either the full Mid-Level or 5yrs/$40M. That is a good deal for the Jazz.
Rest easy Jazz fans. Sam Presti is no idiot. I honestly think he would have better luck pursuing David Lee since NY is less likely to match than the Jazz.

Also, with the Grizzlies acquiring Randolph, it seems like the only real suitor left for Lee is the Thunder (and the Knicks) so if the Thunder ended up with Lee, that would seem to lower their need for Sap

Re: Millsap
If the Thunder get Lee, Milsap is ours for the mid-level or some type of Hybrid Mid-level early opt out contract for Milsap. Something where he gets security but if he becomes the starter and stud he can opt out in 3 years and cash in again.

Re: Millsap
Milsap is asking too much! Or else he would have an offer and signed already from perhaps some other team. He is sorting himself out of a spot as they are filling up fast. Look, Ariza has pinned a team, the league is starting to look at lower tier players. (So is Lee asking to much)
