Sources:Ron Artest unlikely to return to Houston

Post#1 » by azballer53 » Thu Jul 2, 2009 3:58 am

This our chance if we want any chance of contention we strike now
we wouldnt even have to resign GHill (but it wouldnt hurt)
and do the chandler trade

Nash/Goran
J-Rich/Barbs
Artest/Dudley
Amare/Artest/Earl
Chandler/Amare

Man, they could really use a veteran centre for a one year rental. If only we had a big expiring like shaq..

Wallace + JRich for TMAC + Artest S&T. They would do it for sure..

Man I'd be annoyed if the Cavs signed Artest. I always thought Lebron was better playing the wing since there's more freedom to do stuff, but moving him to the 4 wouldn't be bad and having him play next to Artest would makes their defense even better.

Mo
West
Artest
Lebron
Shaq

Not a bad lineup, they just need to get some more size at the 2 and that's a championship team easy.

I'd definitely throw a 5 year MLE at Artest if it were up to me

Artest would be nice, but if the suns are not rebuilding, why would the bring in a head case like Artest that will slow them down? Im not sure team dictator (Nash) would like Kerr going after him. Plus, he is going to want to get paid and we cannot give Hill the LLE, we have to give him part of the MLE and most likely, that takes us out of the Artest sweepstakes.

Artest has already proved he can maintain control since he was traded to the Kings. We'd be crazy not to go after him because of that, especially if we're trying to contend still.

If we grabbed Artest and was able to keep Hill that would be awesome. But Chandler as a bit is crucial now. I wonder if Kerr would of done the Shaq trade if he knew that GSW was going to bail out on the Amare deal?

Ariza is going to get way way to much money really really soon. He's good but not that good.

Artest has to be chop lickin .... look at the money being tossed around Ariza and Turkeyglue.

Unless he opts for a one yr deal JUST to play here and w/ Nash (that is still worth something right ? ) I see him going to deeper pockets.

Atleast Artest IS unpredictable so who knows ?

Ariza is going to paid on his potential not as what he provides right now, which means it's going to be a fair amount.

Artest is what he is so he's going to be paid based off that.
