Hope so to! I have a feeling he will be green for along long time. He has had succes here, got a chance and has improved greatly, apart from money why would he want to leave? he is phappy contributing to a winning team...not dominating on a losing team.

ParticleMan wrote:i agree that a SnT doesn't make much sense to me, but maybe here's a scenario: a team is over the cap and wants to sign BBD, and he wants to go there, but they don't want to use their MLE. they can SnT with us and save their MLE, right? of course there would need to be some incentive for BBD to do this, which i don't quite see what that is.

1 thing tho: i thought BBG made like $1mil or so last season. So 175% of that is less than 2mil, nowhere close to the MLE. is the article just wrong? i think so.

The problem with a S&T is because of BYC it would have to be trade that involved about 10 mil in contracts changing hands to make it work.

Baby made $711,000. His QO is $175,000 over the minimum because that is more than 125% of his previous salary. It is less than 1 mil.

Baby can only be signed to an offer sheet that starts at 5.8 mil (if that is the league avg salary). That is the most not the starting point. It doesn't matter if a team is over the cap or not.

In other words, he'll probably be back with the Celtics. Good news. 8-)
